M	Max Weithmann on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ich hatte bei aVelo Radverleih City Staatsbrücke ein Rad für eine Alpe-Adria Tour vom 31.8. - 6.9.2021 angefragt. Angebot erfolgte über 140 € mit 70 € Anzahlung. Die Abholung war aber nicht in der Griesgasse nahe des Bahnhofs möglich, sondern in der Willibald-Hauthaler-Str. 10, ca. 3,5 km vom Bahnhof entfernt. Das eine bereitgestellte Fahrrad hatte keinen höhenverstellbaren Lenker. Batteriebeleuchtung, Werkzeug, Luftpumpe und Schloß wurde erst nach entsprechender Nachfrage ausgegeben. Leider schaute ich beim Profil der Reifen nur auf das Vorderrad, der hintere Reifen war komplett abgefahren. Es kam wie es kommen musste: auf der italienischen Seite platzte der Reifen. Wenn mir das auf der Abfahrt nach Mallnitz mit einer Geschwindigkeit von über 50 km/h passiert, wäre ich im Krankenhaus oder im Krematorium gelandet. Bei der Rückgabe des Fahrrads war es schwierig, die verauslagten Reparaturkosten zurück zu bekommen. Der Chef war wie zuvor nicht zu erreichen bzw. zu sehen. The pick-up was not possible in Griesgasse near the train station, but in Willibald-Hauthaler-Str. 10, approx. 3.5 km from the train station. One of the bicycles provided did not have a height-adjustable handlebar. Battery lighting, tools, air pump and lock were only given out after appropriate request. Unfortunately, when I saw the tire profile, I only looked at the front wheel, the rear tire was completely worn out. It happened as it had to: the tire burst on the Italian side. If that happened to me on the descent to Mallnitz at a speed of over 50 km / h, I would have ended up in the hospital or in the crematorium. When the bike was returned, it was difficult to get the repair costs back. As before, the boss could not be reached or seen.

The staff were efficient and friendly enough and fitted us straight off with proper size bikes, which were the more upright setup with higher bars, so we wobbled just a tad on our way out but they were easy to get used to and ride. The bikes were medium used .. not new but not old and rickety. It was a good experience to pickup the bikes in Mozartplatz vs other rental places that are a bit more on the fringe of the main tourist area.
r	robroypeters peters on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We wanted to travel from a Salzburg centre hotel (hotel Stadtkrug, also recommendable) into the nearby lake district ( Skt Wolfgang& st Gilgen) by e-Bike. We had a small hotel over there for two days. David helped us out with great dedication. We got extra elastics for our significant luggage and the battery charger to re-charge at the other hotel. David told is the climb would be steep /serious at the start of the trip and we had certainly not chosen the easy route. And he turned out to be correct. we applied full power on lowest gear and it did cost extra battery life. But we reached skt wolfgang nevertheless without problems. Coming back to salzburg was much easier ( proverbal 'walk in the park' since that way mostly downhill). We can really recommend using ebikes to discover the mountains around salzburg and avelo can be trusted to facilitate
