A friend and I stayed at The Keep Hostel for two weeks and our overall experience was good! It was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful and the location is good. They offer a daily breakfast buffet with lots of fresh veggie and vegan options. Payment works with a “pay what you can” system. The rooms are very small but fortunately we had a room with a shower which was nice. Unfortunately, it was quite noisy (close to the railways, noise from the streets, children/people/cleaning staff screaming in the hallways) but I guess that’s just part of staying in a hostel. I would stay at The Keep Hostel again!

The room was very nice and comfy but do not order the breakfast which costs 8 euro! The buffet one is quite alright but the weekdays breakfast was the worse breakfast I've ever had in my life. 8 euro for 3 pieces of toast that were broken into pieces and 3 little jar of jam and a jar of marinated cabbage were all I had. No coffee no juice nothing except water from the tap. I had to pay extra 3 euro for a cup of coffee although I already paid 8 euro for nothing. I was furious!

Loved our stay at Keep Eco! Very clean and the self check-in was easy. The breakfast was AMAZING! Arguably the best breakfast I've had. Love the "pay what you can" system and the mid day snacks were delicious as well. Not a very social hostel but the kitchen/common area is nice. Bed was comfy and room was clean. Thanks Keep Eco!

This place was amazing! I booked through AirBnB, but the experience was really nice. I thought the room was adorable and it was really convenient to have my own sink. I can't say anything as to breakfast, because I never tried. Loved the chalk boards up in the hallways for guests to write messages. Only issue I had was it's a bit tucked away on the street, so it was hard for me to find at 1am since my train was late.

Unfortunately not a good experience. We were quite bummed by the fact that there is no possibility to safely store bikes, which was very disappointing for a place which keeps the eco values so high and praises their environmentally conscious attitude. Moreover, the place is right next to a big road and the main train tracks, which keeps being noisy throughout the night and keeps you away from opening the window, which made the room extremely stuffy and hot. We have not slept so little in a while. I do not agree with a lot of the reviews that this is a place where the value is good for what you pay. There is one toilet for 4-5 rooms and the showers are very tiney. I do appreciate the shabby look and the attempt to keep old things alive and reuse, however the way the walls are 'painted' in the rooms, reminded more of a place right before being demolished. All in all a rather parkhousy feeling than a trendy, eco one. Too bad, no next time for us.

The concept of The Keep Eco Residence is very unique , self check in, recycled furniture whuch is great, and there is vegan restaurant. Rooms are ery clean and they are private, bathroom is shared , but is very clean as well. The only thing - that there was no air conditioner - it can be hot inside of a room and when you open window it can be loud from the street. There were towels in the room. The location is good, walkeble distance to old city.

Great choice for the price paid! Cozy rooms and common areas. The rooms don't have private bathrooms but there are clean toilets and showers on each floor. The location is good, it takes around 15 min to walk to the city centre. The check in and check out are carried out following instructions received by email, so it's fast and easy.

BED BUGS! We went up to our room in the evening and before we even unpacked, my eight year old kids (twins) noticed bugs crawling on the bed & walls next to the bed. I killed them & inspected these bugs - small flat, round reddish brown bugs & I realized immediately they were bed bugs. I lifted the mattresses & inspected the frames & it was obvious that the hotel has had this problem for some time. We gathered our suitcases immediately & left the room. We did not stay one night. I booked another hotel nearby. Also, I reached out immediately to management by email, providing an explanation of why we could not stay there & photographs of the the bugs but they never acknowledged my messages (I also left them the actual dead bed bugs with a note on the bed in room #307). Terrible customer service! Very dangerous! Please be careful!
