We arrived late on a Sunday when many shops were closed. Intuitively, reception shared suggestions on good, open restaurants. In addition, reception genuinely cared about our comfort, stay and that we enjoyed the city. Overnight street parking is easy, but I should have inquired about car parks during the day since I am illiterate to the street signs. I wish we spent more than two nights here. The continental breakfast is good for a quick bite before running out to a tour. Obviously we went on the Sound of Music tour and this hotel is positioned perfectly for that. I had time for the full breakfast before my drive to Graz the next morning. It was comprehensive, fresh and delicious. I think there is a terrace but unfortunately our stay was too short to lounge at the hotel. We stayed in the economy room which was more than sufficient. Plenty of storage spaces in the room. Most impressive for me was the authentic furniture pieces which were both functional added to the beauty and awe of our stay in Salzburg.

I've stayed in this Lovely hotel with my wife for few nights in December during the advent, visiting amazing Salzburg. We were both extremely happy with our stay- hotel was amazing, with nice decoration, well kept and spotless clean. The receptionists being extremely professional, were the nicest, polite and most helpful people You can come across. Will definitely return back. Thank You :-)

Very old and nice hotel. Super friendly service. Very close to bus stop that leads pretty much anywhere in the city. Our room was small compared to some others, but we had everything we needed, except maybe AC, but we asked for a fan and they delivered fast. We had the choice between bath or shower, because showers are quite small. Breakfast there is quite expensive though, but there are plenty of cafés around. We had a pleasant stay, I recommend.

Dirty, unfriendly & overpriced! Dust on the bedside counter, dust on the top end of the bed, dust on the table lamps, dust on the telephone, dust everywhere! Black stains in the shower, possibly black mould, creates a bad smell in the bathroom. The regulator from the radiator was leaking in the bedroom, and the remote control for TV was not working. The double-bed was formed by two single beds pushed together with saggy mattresses which constantly drifted apart, so all of the time either me or my girlfriend landed i the gap between. Unbelievably uncomfortable! The breakfast would be acceptable for a 2 star hotel. There is not much to choose from, mediocre quality at best. While communicating this issues with the reception, the women who was working there got upset and started arguing "we have never had such problems, i can not imagine that", which was wildly inappropriate and weird. We booked & payed for 2 nights but left after the first one, that's how bad this hotel is. This was the worst experience I have ever had staying in a 4 Star Hotel. I can not recommend this place under any circumstances.

The room is very clean and descent size for a small room. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location was very good cause we could be to the main sightseeing areas within ten-fifteen minutes walk. The restaurants around the hotel were great. Only minus was that the room was next to a busy Street so if you needed to open the window, you could hear the traffic.

Location is great because it is roughly between the tourist sites, river, bus stops and bus stations - all of which is walkable. The staff are lovely and helpful. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, furnished in a baroque style. The only criticism one could say is the bedrooms are a bit cramped (with about two-three feet around the main bed). Very decent for the price.
