But they were so understanding and waved the costs of the late cancellation (one day before our planned arrival). It is a great courtesy and we are so greatful. We will definitely plan an other trip to Salzburg and stay at hotel Krone 1512!!!!

The hotel has a slightly different name on their entrance which was confusing for us. The room and shower are clean with the later being modern. The room itself gives students accommodation vibes though. The church ringing bills are way too annoying every day especially on Sunday. Though, I have lived next to a cathedral for years before but it can't be compared to this one. The missing point is for this reason. Finally, there is no water bottles In the room on the day of arrival.

When Covid regulations tightened and no one knew what was going on, he went the extra mile to check and double check that we were good to go. Since our circumstances were somewhat exceptional, and I myself was having trouble navigating the rules, I really appreciated this.

Great location great close to all main activities, shopping, resturant, public transport. of Salzburg. Staff are very friendly, clean, WiFi and room service.
M	Mike on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a pleasant stay in Hotel Krone 1512 during our visit to Salzburg. The hotel seems to be a family business, it was clean and the location was very central. They offer free coffee/tea and breakfast is available for an extra charge of €12 per person, which was reasonable given the choices. Slightly annoying church bell dinging every 15’ of the hour, quite audible even on a garden-facing room. Three stars only because the room we got was looking sightly different to the pictures we saw when booking, the floor was uneven (!) and some aspects of it can use a refresh. The bathroom was in great condition, seems to have been recently renovated. Overall it’s a good choice for a night or two but probably not more.

I had a single room that faced out to the small street in front, which was almost exclusively used by pedestrians. The room was small, which was fine for me, clean and comfortable. The only real drawback was the shower which was about a meter square in size, but it was manageable. I didn't pay for the breakfast buffet because there were many little cafes in the vicinity for various types of meals. Overall, this hotel was well worth the money.
