What was disappointing were the Thai dishes, it wasn't worth the price you pay for it. It is peak season and the place is understandably full, a little hard to get the attention of the staff after you've ordered. But otherwise, the staff was good but as some comments said, they seem to treat different customers differently which is a shame.

The hotel sits in a perfect location beside the lake, mountains in the heart of an old village close to many restaurants and shops. The hotel has a very warm, homely feel. The breakfast and staff make you feel at home :+) The Brasserie has a delicious menu, the lobster ? soup was spectacular. I would recommend Hotel Traube as a first choice to anyone planning to visit Zell am See. We will be back again many times... Lg. Ken & Amparo

The only thing for dinner we were group of 15, we sat at 6pm all guests were seated by 6.10pm they needed table back at 8.00 /8.15 we did know this, however as they didn't take our order till 6.45 we thought that maybe they wouldn't need it back. The food does come promptly, but as we were then tight for time it meant desert or an extra drink was not possible. I couldn't fault the restaurant, it is excellent and staff are nice and food is great, And I'd recommend if your in Zell that you do go here, its definitely worth it. However they should have taken our order more promptly when the table was needed back. So all i would say is to order promptly,

Be mindful that we booked the budget room with breakfast and loved our stay. Location: central, can get to slopes, supermarket, restaurants within 5 to 10 min (max). Perfect for us. Room: had everything we needed, it was clean and warm. good beds as well ! Breakfast: this is where we read online people complaining about the breakfast but for all our 7 nights that we stayed we had a very good breakfast every.single.day. We had everything we needed and food was very good and fresh, loved it. Restaurant: we only been twice and one of them was Christmas eve, delicious food and service, recommend. Service: owner and staff were very welcoming, friendly, helpful and professional. We would definitely go to Traube again, we had an amazing holiday and the accommodation was perfect for us.
