Hotel Tirolerhof Zell am See

Google asked me if it was excellent: I say it was amazing!!! Location: As you can see on Maps, they are situated very close to the lake. For fast walkers less than 5 mins. Around the hotel you can find everything you need! Beautiful Austrian Mountains, bus station, shops and so on. Well organized place! Hotel itself: So far in my experience, going to smaller towns in Austria is a challenge. Sometimes people don't understand you, or vice versa. But not in this family owned hotel. Everyone, speaks english, is polite and always happy to help you with any request. Rooms: Modern and clean room! It surprised me that they've managed to design rooms in a traditional way, but still make it as modern as possible, so you have the feeling of both. Food: Fantastic food! Big morning buffet and tasty dinners, is what I've tried there. The service in the dining area was well prepared. Everything I've requested was available. Other Features: Top Spa and Gym area. If you don't feel like inside sport, you still have the possibility to do everything in the nature. It never gets boring there!! All in all, I had one of my best times in Austria at this hotel. Everything was on point! As the owner showed me some austrian phrases, i guess this one describes my journey the best: Des hot ma gschmeckt! :) (hope i spelled it right) I have a feeling that the place is amazing in the winter as well! This review reflects a 5 Night Bed+Breakfast+ Dinner package stay- self paid. Advantages: 1) Good Location nearby beach. 2) Friendly and welcoming staff. 3) They had nice sauna and indoor pool facilities 4) Good variety of Dinner with Vegan/Vegetarian options. 5) They have backpack, umbrella, swimming sauna towels. The room had bath and separate bath tub. 6) TV with HDMI - Bluray Player so you can use with Laptop. 7) Decent Internet and was able to remote work some days. 8) rooms were spacious and big with balcony. 9) there are guided tours and walks. City or Mountain E-bikes are available at the hotel. Disadvantages: My two less starts due to two clear disadvantages. Cleanliness Overall *s Detail: 1) The hotel cleanliness is below par and not standard to ****s, there was visible dust on TV and Table when checked in. We had complained about it but partial action was taken. 2) Also rooms, restaurants and hallways have spider webs everywhere. We complained the person in charge said it's common they come the next day which was also a defense. If you clean once a week it stays okay in the room at least and everywhere. 3) there is visible fungi/fungus in shower rooms, so that shows their cleaning is not upto the mark. N.B: ****s doesn't say it's clean and sparkling it's not facilities, need to check with the rating company. Safety *s detail: We were hurt but the hotel first aid only had bandages though they offered taxi and to call doctor, but what until then? So I believe there is no safety inspections of first aid done (in Germany and even Austria Erste Hilfe in Car, Workplace and Hotel is a must rule). I wonder if fire extinguishers are checked. We complained about this but the person I charged said they are not supposed to give by law. (I tried googling but cannot find anything- so I believe it's a coverup) Facilities: These may not be important for few so I have not deducted *s from rating. Overall **s 1) So the Gym has equipments but lacks basic gym gear of Weights etc. 2) No kettle, iron, tea/Coffee mini-bar in room seems to be common in 4* star hotels. Verdict: please see if it satisfies what you need then book. Please call and clarify to check if it's included or not. We will come to zell am see again but not Tirolerhof. N.B: From what I see from the past reviews, there is no change, they are running the hotel for so years, if you complain they are going to be defensive and push on you and no scope of improvement cause after talking to the person in charge they see no need to change, but of course what rises shall fall one day if not improved/changed. This serves as note for future travelers to either book or not book. :)

Such a fantastic hotel with helpful and friendly staff. The food was exceptional and a big thanks to our waiter Antonio. Minibus to the ski lift was great but it isn't too far when your walking back after a day on the mountain. The spa and pool are a great way to wind down after some skiing too.

Outstanding and an absolute must! I have stayed in this hotel several times both as a child with my parents and more recently with my partner. This is a beautiful family run hotel, a family that makes you feel extremely welcome. The standard of the service and the facilities is simply amazing and for those visiting Zell am See for the first time the location is perfect! We look forward to visiting you again!

Please consider some following comments if this is important for you. Advantages: - The hotel is indeed lovely and has its own charm. Room was spacious and nice. - Very convenient location. - Personel is very gentle and welcoming. - Breakfast is rich and fillin.g (vegan options, vegetarian options) - Dinner is also good, u can choose options up to your diet (vegan, vegetarian). Or at least they will make sure to find you replacement for a specific option. - Nice swimming pool and sauna. It also has water, fruits, nuts, tea for free in the lounge of the sauna area. - Good variety of bicycles for your city or mountain trip. - Additionally they have a backpack, umbrella in the room if you need to take to hiking or biking trip with you. - Nice terrace with lots of flowers and greens around you. What concerns me: - No iron in the room, cannot be requested form reception. - No kettle or coffee machine either, and not allowed in the room either. - Cleaning is doubtful, many spider houses and hotel management was okay with it. - Room cleaning is not proper, sink still had some toothpaste spots and nothing was done about it even if we requested. - First aid (no disinfecting wipes or spray for wounds, according to management it is not allowed) not sure check with the local rules. - Gym does not have dumbbells ( any wright like 1,2,3... kg) Just make sure that what you need is there and maybe call before booking to clarify the details. Recommend what would not come back.

First of all : hotel is perfectly situated, near the lake, shops, mountain, bus stops and main station. Second thing is cleanliness. From the reception, through bar and restaurant to the room. Perfect! Furthermore all staff are too kindly. You can ask about everything in the reception and staff from restaurant are brilliant! Buffet breakfast and dinner were delicious, fresh and rich. Sadly I didn't have enough time to use pool and sauna area, I think they should be open a little bit longer (for example till 22) but it's just a little suggestion and it doesn't effect to final rate :) Very very recommended!

Magical experience in the more cute hotel ever. The hotel is really cozy, the staf is very friendly and the jacuzzi and sauna are very relaxing. Perfect for rest after a day in the snow. Everything is clean and beautiful in this hotel, and the food is very nice. I love it and i want to return the next year.

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely hotel, the staff in the restaurant; Claudio and Antonio were so friendly and very welcoming. The rooms are very cosy and warm. One of the receptionists was not so welcoming unfortunately, everything seemed to be a problem or issue. I would suggest giving this person a job where she doesn't greet people or generally meet them!
