I literally have no idea what to make of this."): This is Vienna's only very valuable art sculpture in public space and it is made by Henry Moore. Moore is among the most acclaimed sculptors on this planet and the piece shown might resemble a value in the rage of millions or maybe more tens of millions. The critic that it would not fit to the place: The Karlsplatz is dominated by the Karlskirche, a very unusual piece of architecture, as it combines most classical building styles, from Roman, to Gothic to Baroque. This is so over the top, that the common sense said it is interesting, cool and an architecture landmark. So if the church is so divers, why not having the Moore sclupture there? The Vienna people think it fits and the Karlsplatz is among the favourite places to hang out. It is pretty much a perfect place.
