★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Die Bronzeskulptur "Hill Arches" von Henry Moore 1973 geschaffen, wurde 1978 in einem Wasserbecken vor der Karlskirche platziert und stellt zwei Figurenkörper in rhythmischer Gestaltung dar. Den Leerstellen ist dabei genauso Aufmerksamkeit zu schenken, wie den Figuren. Von den Betrachtern wird also eine enorme Konzentrationsfähigkeit und Vorstellungskraft abverlangt. Hier ist Henry Moore besonders raffiniert vorgegangen, da er den Betrachter direkt zur visionären Mitgestaltung einlud. Es lohnt sich dabei auch aus verschiedenen Perspektiven an die Skulptur heranzugehen, natürlich ohne ins Wasser zu treten.
The bronze sculpture "Hill Arches", created by Henry Moore in 1973, was placed in a water basin in front of the Karlskirche in 1978 and represents two figure bodies in a rhythmic design. The viewer is therefore required to have an enormous ability to concentrate and to imagine. Here Henry Moore proceeded particularly cleverly, since he invited the viewer directly to the visionary participation. It is also worthwhile to approach the sculpture from different perspectives, of course without stepping into the water.
