カールスプラッツ駅に隣接する公園は人も少ないなか、ヨハネスブラームスさんは静かに座っています。
Johannes Brahms sits quietly in the park next to Karlsplatz Station, while there are few people.

One of the more interesting monuments to see at Karlsplatz is that of Johannes Brahms which was created and erected here by Austrian sculptor Rudolf Weyr in 1908. Here you find a elderly Brahms, resting in a seated position and peering downward. The statue is upon a small pedestal with his name inscribed. The pedestal is then situated upon a much wider statue base, which includes a female playing a lyre. The Brahms Monument is an interesting depiction of the beloved German composer and is well worth spending a few minutes to see if you are a fan of Brahms or simply enjoy monument viewing during your travels.

This monument stands in tribute to Johannes Brahms, the legendary 19th century German composer, and pianist. This monument is a marble sculpture and depicts an elderly Brahms in a throne like seat and in an elevated position. The seated Brahms is on a socle, below which is a Despairing Muse of Music playing on her lyre. The monument can be found in Resselpark near the Karlskirche and amongst many monuments to notable personalities of the Austrian Empire.
