Great location, very clean Reception is only open until 8pm and breakfast is quite expensive Although free cake and coffee is offered in the afternoons. Employees are very friendly. Slight chance the hotel is haunted as it is located next to a graveyard.

I was very much looking forward to staying at this hotel, as they partner with the Salzburg Festspiele, and it was recommended for it's location and history. I asked for a quiet room, but got one facing the street. Behind the street is a 70-some meter mountain wall, amplyfing all noise from the street and the church - which is next door - and which starts it's bells at 7 in the morning. Room got incredibly warm (heat wave) - and only one fan is provided, no air-con. I had to open the window during the night, waking every 10 minutes from drunken shouting outside. The carpet in the room was dirty and stained, the hot/cold faucets in the shower and sink were opposite, knobs on bathroom cabinet and dresser were missing, the skirting board (Bodemformteil) had come off from the walls. I needed help with understanding the information on my concert ticket. It was in German, and highly detailed (Covid- regulations) - I asked one of the staff to translate a few bits for me. My question was "What time do I need to be there?" She could not understand this, but replied "Oh no, there are no bees, no bees!" And made a "bzz"-sound, and she was not joking. I am working on my German, but you partner with the festival, and it would be very helpful if you knew just a little bit more English! This can all be tossed aside, but this can't: Since there is no breakfast, guest are invited to go to the sister hotel, Hotel Stein, down the street. I popped by in the evening to have a look at the venue (roof-top restaurant), it was so crowded, you couldn't move around. I'm sure it's disinfected to some extent after it closes and before it opens, and I'm not hysterical about the pandemic, but there were no covid-measures, 100-150 people standing around, no masks, no distance, nothing. It just felt so very irresponsible. On the bright side, there is a pretty little patio in the back, and the church yard behind the hotel, where Mozart's family's graves are, is a tranquil and very beautiful area.

This is a lovely hotel, brilliantly located in a pedestrian street with lots of facilities. The museums, churches and other attractions were all in walking distance. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable with really nice ensuite facilities. At times they were a little warm but easily fixed by opening windows which allowed a beautiful view over the churchyard. The sound of church bells added to the magic of the city. We enjoyed the free tea/coffee/ cake facilities as well as the two outside terraces. Breakfast was excellent with a large range of meat, cheese, eggs, cereals, bread and pastries. The staff were really helpful and very tolerant of our poor language skills. Would definitely stay here again and have been recommending it to friends and family.

The room was comfortable and well equipped. The bells from the church next door will wake you at 7am. We did not try the breakfast. The hotel has no bar and no restaurant and it's hard to see the justification for its 4* rating as a result. Reception closes at 8pm. Overall, comfortable but not great value for money.

Very nice hotel. Located within walking distance of everything and easy to find. The main desk was not open when I arrived but I received a call earlier to let me know they would email me a code to get my room key. It was the easiest check-in I've ever had. The room was very comfortable and the wifi was fast. They went out of their way to let customers know about their new covid 19 cleaning procedures and the room reflected their efforts. Everything was extremely clean and comfortable. I hope to stay again soon.

Great hotel in an excellent location. Rooms were very spacious, clean and comfortable Couple of small downsides. No A/C - this was fixed with a Dyson fan No Fridge - we had to use the bar next door for ice to keep drinks cold No bar/restaurant - hotel reception closes at 2pm after that it’s fend for yourself for everything Value for money was good Overall - great room and location. Additional amentities were lacking

An excellent hotel! Located in the city centre in waking distance to the historical sights. The rooms are nicely furbished and spacious with lovely details. The service is very helpful and friendly, even as we arrived too late due to a delayed train. Free coffee is available throughout the day. A recommendation!
