S	Stacey Hill on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a great meal here tonight! Service was great, the wild garlic soup was so good! And so was the cordon bleu and sausages with sauerkraut! Generous portions and service with a smile :) very highly recommended! And we’ll definitely be back again before we leave Salzburg!

We ordered the sausage variation as suggested by other reviewers and it didn’t disappoint, however it was too salty for us so I personally don’t like it. The pork knuckle was VERY nice! Do order it and nothing much to say about this dish. Just give it a try and you will know. Next was the schnitzel, the skin was a little bit lumpy instead of crispy. And the meat wasn’t that crispy either. However, i liked the raspberry dips, it matched very well with the schnitzel. Annnnnd the corn soup! I loved it sooo much! It is a must to have it! The apple strudel was absolutely amazing! Crispy skin, rich apples fillings in it, homemade vanilla ice cream, heaven!

Stopping overnight in Salzburg, I ate a beautiful meal at The Old Fox, and topped it off with my favourite dessert - Kaiserschmarrn! I would’ve had seconds if the portions weren’t already so massive. Typical of Austria, the place is warm and bustling, with excellent beer and traditional food available. Still look back with fondness on that trip.

The local brew beer was good,after taste is not too strong. friendly staff that could give recommendation on local food. worth the price for food quality

Took a table and ordered goulash with Austrians dumpling and schnitzel with fries and cranberry sauce. Both were very tasty and big portions. The goulash was very hearty and hit the spot. Was amazed by the combination of schnitzel with cranberry as well!
