Very nice hotel with good food. Room was spacious and new looking. Bit pretentious though, wife got told off for walking down to spa in ski socks and hotel guide says "hiking and skiing apparel not considered appropriate dress"

The female owner of this hotel insults her guest continiously. It is clear to me that she hates having guests but she continues to run the business only for the money. After being yelled at several times for no real reason we changed hotel. DON'T STAY HERE unless you enjoy being insulted.

Very unfriendly. We wanted to eat something and they said we can’t park the car at there ground, because they have other customers who want to check in. There were a lot of other parking grounds for other customers too. So we decided not to eat there

I've stayed at this superb hotel over the years and can find no faults with it all, I find it one of the best hotel in obergurgl, Rooms are excellent and very clean food is I would say modern Austrian style. and service is excellent returning later in February no complaints at all.

We have been coming to Obergurgl for many years but as our family has grown and needs changed we have stayed in different hotels in the resort. All of our stays in the past have been brilliant apart from this one in the Wiesental! Our transfer got us to the hotel late and we called ahead to see if we could still have our dinner around 8.45pm. They male owner said yes we could have the mains and desert as it was late which was fine and we understood this. The waiter Simon was extremely short with us and on several occasions rolled his eyes at us as we asked for drinks like it was all to much trouble and he just wanted to go home even though we were at the same course as others in the dining room. We were then told we could not have the desserts which I complained about as we only wanted ice cream for the kids. We took three rooms, 2 standard doubles and one large family room so a considerable cost and they were nice, two of which refurbished. Our daughter was very poorly on the second night and came into us, my husband and I had the large room with a sofa bed just incase any of our 4 children needed us and we had an area for us to get together. So she stayed in the room with us with her bedded on the sofa bed in our room. The next morning the lady owner came down to us at breakfast shouting we should of not touched the sofa bed and yelled saying we should not have ski boots in the room but I’d not skied and they had not been used yet to be taken to the boot room. They had gone into our room to check even with the ‘do not disturb‘ sign visible to know any of this. My daughter was in the room at the time as she had not come down to breakfast as she felt so ill, she said she felt scared as the woman was shouting and pointing at the sofa bed and boots and left the room to seek safety in her room by locking the door. We then felt very uncomfortable for the remainder of our stay here. There were several other horrible comments from the lady owner one of which her telling me she did not want my daughter having any dairy with her medicine incase she was sick. I would beware staying here it has an uncomfortable feel about it. The breakfast was poor with little choice, they seem to run out of tea. Such a shamed as it was over £13k for 1 week holiday. On our leaving day we were told they could not offer us a room to keep for a few hours longer as we were not collected till 2.30pm and wanted to ski in the morning, we were told we could get dressed in the corridor or public hotel toilets with our four kids. All very unhelpful just as they had been throughout the whole of our stay. Such a shame as they are close to the ski higher and slopes. Also beware they have a problem with a neighbouring hotel which has a club which was nosy till 3am on Tuesday and Friday night after the night skiing.

We have been here for diner and dispite the the diner was alright our experience was not that good. After one of our group finished the main course the waitress already took his plate while the others still were eating. When another person finished his plate the same happend. Then the waitress came to us to tell us the table have to go to other people and asked us to move to the bar to finish our drinks. Altought they offered us one free drink it didn't felt very welcome. In my opinion that's not the way to treat your costumers in a 4 star hotel/restaurant.

Nice place good food and kind service personal, with a huge handicap. The owner lady, who lacks every bit of hospitality. My wife requested some tap water to cool down her tea, we had also eaten a full course meal with drinks before. The owner lady refused and screamed at her waiter who brought us water anyway. Such a frustrated and unkind person running a hotel is a shame to the whole gastro industry. We felt so sorry for the other kind staff, we confronted her after the visit, which ended in her yelling at us too and refusing to see anything wrong with her behavior and disrespect.
