★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Forget the bus, do the bike tour!
So glad we booked this tour. I can’t believe a bus tour could compare to what we had. We saw so much of Salzburg in just 3.5hrs and got very close to most of the movie scenes from the Sound of Music. During part of the tour we rode through green fields of grass and trees, with beautiful mountain views and tons of fresh air.
Our guide, Annabel was fantastic. It was a bonus that Annabel gave us detailed information about the town as well as further information regarding filming of the movie, so even if you’re not a Sound of Music fan there is still something for you to learn and enjoy on the tour.
There are some hills on the ride but there was enough sightseeing breaks to catch your breath or get a drink of water.
I enjoyed this tour so much I would even take the tour again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A fantastic tour to take in Salzburg! You get to see sights throughout the city (and outside of the city) that were filming locations for The Sound of Music and, the guides also presented good historical information of the city. Definitely take this tour!

It was truly an unique way of discovering Salzburg, seeing all the Sound of Music sights and hearing about all the behind-the-scenes facts. It was a day to never forget, with a wonderful atmosphere and we would highly recommend taking this tour!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We did the morning Sound of Music bike tour and it was fantastic. The ride was not difficult (I'm in decent shape and recovering from a knee injury), and the guide was fantastic.
The tour felt like a scene out of the Sound of Music, and for someone who hasn't watched the movie in years it was easy to follow, peppered with facts and perspective on Salzburg at large, and provided a wonderful opportunity to get out of the city.
10/10. Would do again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We did the bike tour with our family (all adults) on our recent trip. We chose the earlier tour (9:30) - which was a smart move because it gets hot in the afternoon (at least in summer). By the end (near 1:00) we were hot! The trip was about 15 km round trip, and not too bad. As the least in-shape member of the group I found it a little challenging, but those in moderate shape or better would have no problem. There is one big hill up to the Abbey, but we pushed up our bikes. The views are great and our guide, Kata, knew a lot about the sound of music and history of the town. She was well organized and prepared. The groups aren't too large, and I didn't find it trouble keeping up, though for those who aren't comfortable on bikes, biking on the cobblestone in town can be a little more of a challenge (if they are unsteady at all). The bikes were comfortable. I wish I would have known at the beginning that 2-person bikes were available - as sharing one with my husband may have helped me on the journey. We felt like we covered the majority of sites that Salzburg had to offer, and even for those of us (like me) who were not the biggest fans of Sound of Music, it was still a wonderful way to get to see the city. We have way better access, and I find it hard to believe the tour buses could get to the majority of the places we did, so this was perfect for us.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The tour was amazing! I really recommend doing a bicycle tour instead of taking a bus tour. Even if you’re not a huge Sound of Music fan it’s still a lot of fun. Our tour guide Hope was super nice and funny. She told us a lot of fun facts about the movie we didn’t know and things about the history of Salzburg.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic sound of my music bike-themed tour of Salzburg. If you’re not already a fan of either you will be after this tour. We went with a family of four, my kids are 12 and 10. The youngest in the group and enjoyed the entire trip. My youngest had her moments but kept up with the rest throughout. Lots of breaks and enjoyable trivial of sound of music movie. Our guide, Elisse, was warm, friendly, and professional. We felt safe at all times and the scenic parts were off the charts. We did have a sunny day so that helped. For the price 100 euros for two adults and two kids was well worth it! You need about 4 hours and a reservation helps, although we snuck in without on the morning of. Great tour!
