My experience at the Eye Factory was so bad that I'm actually motivated to give my - as far as I know - first review via Google. Appointments were made very quickly - everything else then went like in a bad movie: Arrived on the upper floor of the practice, I was treated unfriendly and in a piecemeal manner. I then had to take a seat down one floor, which was full of junk and moving boxes. In the next room, two people - presumably employees of the practice - argued loudly. When I got back to the top floor, I was greeted by a doctor who had opened YouTube videos and Candycrush on the PC screen. The advice was extremely bad, sparse and unfriendly. The doctor's assistant also (for whatever reason) put my eyes in drops twice and so heavily that I was significantly restricted in my everyday life for 1.5 days. Incidentally, the associated examination of a device took place in the middle of the upper waiting room, i.e. surrounded by all the other people waiting. The icing on the cake was the sales talk that followed: a young gentleman in a suit and tie tried to sell me overpriced and unnecessary things. He suggested that my "mum" could finance part of the purchases (I'm over 30 years old). Only after I was able to get rid of this with multiple and very specific impulses did I receive my doctor's papers. So all in all, this visit was criminally bad. - So bad and outrageous that I am writing this application here in the retrospective (the visit was about a year ago). Don't support this "practice" at all!!!!!

It is really amazing that such ordinations continue to have a health insurance contract. At each appointment, all the examinations paid for by the cash register are carried out, even the really annoying dropping in, which cost me 2 days of vision, although there was no suspicion of farsightedness. The examinations are carried out by very nice but only auxiliary staff, so the quality of the examination is highly questionable. At the end of the day, you end up with a questionable substitute doctor for 1 minute, whose pot belly hangs out under his t-shirt and who then asks for the first time why you are there and you only get the doctor's letter after you have listened to the sales pitch at the in-house optician. It has nothing to do with qualitative medicine, it's just maximizing profits. I am a general practitioner myself and it really shocked me how this colleague works, or rather lets them work.

I've requested from the doctor to speak English as I have a serious eye condition (keratokonus) and wanted to make sure I communicate accurately. The doctor asked me in German if I was a visitor, since when I live in Vienna, what my job is and said that I should speak German since it is the official language of the country. I've told him I chose this place because the website claims that it's an English speaking clinic and I wanted to use this right. He said I don't have such a right, but he will speak English with me, like he's making me a favour! It was such an unnecessary, arrogant and irritating conversation. Totally unacceptable!

I was there and requested a red-green eye test for a sailing licence. They wanted to 'sell' me their full package. After repeated attempts on doing an allround eye exam on me, I was getting quite irritated, with the way they ignored my opposition. They seated me in front of a device and only AFTER I inquired, if this has anything to do with red-green testing, they admitted, that it was a routine test. IF I WANT ROUTINE TESTS, I ASK FOR ROUTINE TESTS! Needless to say, I stood up and refused to stare into some glaring light to be 'routinely tested'. I had to discuss and argue, that I am only there for this one single (and quite easy and fast) red-green test. After what felt like hours the doctor reluctantly did the test with me (not after asking me again repeatedly if I'm sure I didn't want the full eye exam). I paid and left with a sour feeling, that this whole expierience felt more like a scam than a visit at a doctor.

A place to get ripped off. Incredible prices and rude service. The receptionist was screaming at a customer not a nice experience
