★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In walking distance from Hallstatt. Combining hiking tracks, cyklists routes and local routes it's possible to do nice and comfortable round trip around both sides of the valley.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There is a parking area about a 5 minute drive from Parking 1. You will drive towards Parking 2 but keep to the right instead of entering P2. After a couple minutes and a couple turns (use GPS) there will be a gravel parking area on the left side. You can park there and there's a small metal box you can leave a couple coins in if you desire. There's a trail map there. The hike is about 30-40 minutes to the Waldbachstrub falls. They are BEAUTIFUL and well worth the effort!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing place and nice hiking. The path we chose was bit difficult with climbing down the cliffy mountain, but there were ropes in the path so is doable but nothing close to a casual walk.
