★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Altstadt of Hallstatt ?? is beautiful in all the seasons, but it just feels heavenly in those foggy winters. This ethereal little village reminds me of Interlaken in Switzerland, another gem of a town situated between lakes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We visited the town during the winter. The views are spectacular ? ❄ The combination of towering mountains right beside the beautiful lake together with the stylish authentic architecture of the town and the low hanging clouds, make the view of this city one of a kind.
Be reminded that there is a tower crane there in operation which makes it very hard to shoot flawless photos though! We visited town on Jan 10th of 2022.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This little town is famous for its own beauty. Hidden in between mountains, down next to the lake is this gemstone of rustic beauty. It's not big, you don't need two days to see it, maybe not even one, but walking around it leaves a nice memory.

This small village is definitely worth a visit
Evan thought the time we got there most of the stores were closed, the walking itself was very rewarding.
If you visit on the winter make sure you're dressed accordingly (much cold).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place to spend a day or two. It is much more crowded in the spring/summer season then in winter but in the winter you can enjoy the beauty of this small town more. Still, it is a cold place so be prepared for the snow and wind.
