The location is perfect. The rooms are small and you can meet loads of insects in summer (good for entomologists)

If you like messy places, this is exactly what you need. Garbage is everywhere, e.g. staircase, corridor, etc... The residents are often very loud during the night. There are some good things, too: the subway station is just round the corner, which is great. You’re in the city center in 20 minutes. The next supermarket is just 2 stations away.

Located only a few meters from a subway track and a highway! So it's very noisy if you open a window which is necessary because the rooms get extremely hot from April to early October. It's located in the middle of nowhere, there's no decent opportunity to go shopping in the area or to do anything else. The tenants are extremly loud, screaming around in the hallways at night, repeatedly slamming their doors, blasting music or their TVs. There's often trash lying around in the building and bugs from your neighbours might spread to your room. Better look for something else!

Rooms that could be improved (do not take them in the area of ​​the train tracks, it is torture), very poor services (they do not have even a decent gym), far from downtown and they are very severe for payments (penalising with interests) but I had problems getting my deposit paid on time (they paid me out of time and less of what I gave without justifying it). I strongly discourage it. Very disappointed.

I lived here for more than a year. I initially made a contract for 6 months and extended it for another year. I had to leave to Berlin mid-term and the administration was very cooperative and agreed for an interim contract termination without any issues. The daily travel to the university and back to home was exceptionally convenient with the metro station right next to Donaubase. Even more, they have a printer, coffee machine, a garden to relax etc downstairs which made life easier and peaceful. It caught me by surprise how well the rooms are noise isolated. I used to play music on THX speaker and once the doors are closed, no one could hear outside the room. I can strongly suggest to live at Donaubase even for long-term stays.

The management of the housing are very responsive and nice, they respond to your request in the short notice nicely. The room itself has all the furniture that you want, and it is super close to the metro station. I hope all of you enjoy your stay here.

Small room with a mini kitchenette, i can say it is still too small for just one person. Nothing nearby but it is quite convenient because U-bahn and bus stop are just within 5mins route. You should absolutely avoid to live there during summer, I have suffered from insects and bugs even though I lived in the 4th floor. Staff and technical services are only available during office hours. The hot water supply sometimes not working at nights, which is a big problem during winter. One more important thing is: the fire alarm always triggered by a little smoke and it is quite annoyed especially at nights. Apart from that, this is a nice place for short term stay.

Rooms are small but manageable for one person. Location is good and bad at the same time. Close to the Danube with a great view if your room is looking towards Kaisermühlen and has a great subway connection. However, it is located right next to the subway tracks and the highway, so you are quite unlucky if your room is located on this side of the building as it can get really loud. Also, you either have to take the subway or walk around 15 minutes to get to the next supermarket/store. As a student dormitory, it really lacks on the social aspect. Common rooms are never used, and the gym is not really a gym, more of a small room with some equipment. Great in the winter, but in summer insects are a problem, so if you're bothered by that you should most probably avoid this place. For the period I lived here (a bit more than 2 years) a big concern was that it got very dirty as people would leave their trash everywhere (corridors, elevator, in front of the main door) or the elevator would get completely trashed on Saturday evenings by drunk students. Another issue is that the fire alarm went off almost every week, sometimes in the middle of the night, and it took around 30-45 minutes until it would stop. Staff that worked there was always really nice and helpful. In total, it was not a horrible experience, but it has room for improvement :)
