Very nice accommodation. The only problem for me is at midnight sometimes it is very noisy outside. Now it’s summer, if I closed the window, then it’s going to be very hot. Wish to have more regulations on noise control...

So expensive and loud, even though I really enjoyed my time there with my friends from all Over the world, especially Spain. I don’t really recommend it for students, there’s so many other accommodations in Vienna with affordable rent and better conditions than OeAD dormitories such like Wiener Jugendherberge, home4students and many others. This company is only here to get much money as much as they can from international students.

Hallo, I lived here from March until June, 2018. I never really wrote a review in Google, but I really felt that I have to write a review here for other people who have a possibility to come here. To be honest, My experience in this Molkereistrasse and Oead company was quite horrible and angry. First of all, I do not know the other dorm's room condition but here, is amazingly bad condition with really high price than the average room price in Wien. My room was second floor and my room was full of little silver fish, which is an insect. Every time when I take something from my floor I found out that there are some small fishes are there. It is really horrible everytime and I cannot really feel safe and comfortable at my home. And also, the Kitchen's condition is just terrible. You will never see this kind of kitchen in any dorms. It is very small, without the window, oven, dishwasher, and formal kitchen stuff. You cannot cook rightly when you want to cook. It is just a kitchen that they called "Kitchen" . I fully understand that every Erasmus person wants to stay in the dorm to see many friends and becoming friends with everyone, but except those part, I think I really cannot recommend this house. I moved out from there and with less amount of monthly payment, I am living so much better environment. Please thin twice to choose this dorm and this company. They even take the 57Euro from your deposit as a final cleaning fee (I think It is really non-sense) and they also took 28 Euro for the stained pan. I think it is absolutely ridiculous. And also be careful with the contract too. I do Not recommend to have long contract with them when you are not very sure to live in Vienna longer after you finish your semester. When you decide to finish your contract earlier, they will take your half of money and even if you want to stay one day longer than your original contract, they will request you 66Euro! For just one day! It is just incredible that they never change their absolute ridiculous rules and they blame the rules! And when you check out, you have to be really careful because for me, they even checked two items as missing items, which was for sure it was there, and they could also see that in the picture too! and they charged me 20Euro for that too, haha so you really have to be careful when you do the check out. I will recommend you to find a flat in Wien or maybe airbnb with people that coming from your same university or something like that. I wrote very long review, which I never done it. But I just really wanted to tell everyone who will choose this dorm. Think Twice before choose this dorm. -------From here will be my answer to the OEAD's review Dear Oead, this is Hyunji again and unfortunately, I cannot write more than one review to the company so I am making a comment at here. 1.I am not freaking out because of only "ONE or TWO" silver fish. There were 4 or 5 silver fishes are always in my room, at the floor and table almost everywhere. This is not matter of they are harmless or they are living in moist area. This is matter of living quality. Imagine that you are always find 5 insects in your room even though you are cleaning everyday of your room. Didn't you think that I OF COURSE ALSO googled what is silver fish and find a dictionary? It is kind of funny that you linked the silverfish Wikipedia meaning 2. Yes I totally knew about this final cleaning fee but what I was curious is that why it has to be that amount of big money as you said the kitchen is "Kitchenette" which is super small and the room is also 18m2 which is not that big at all. Also, the stained pan, yes it would be my fault that I did not say to you fro the first but also, I am curious that pan is really also cost 28 EURO... 3. My friend's contract was until 29th of June. and he asked you to stay one more day at 1st of July and your replied was 66Euro per day. 4.I am sorry if some things are not admitable as you think, but these are true and I did not exaggerate. Thank you & Best Regards, Hyunji

Super expensive. Tiny bar fridge and tiny kitchen (no windows), only one shower and one toilet, shared by 4(!) people. Room is tiny too and kind of dirty. Courtyard gets quite loud sometimes. The laundry is really small and always full. In the reply they "kindly ask me" why I felt this way. Well, actually during my stay I have emailed and messaged them multiple times, and they basically ignored me.

The school knows a third-party housing company that provides housing for student sin Vienna which is called OeAD. Under any circumstance please do not use this platform since the (1) service is horrible, (2) the deposit fee is large, (3) the homes itself are in bad quality. I arrived in Vienna wanting to get my keys in the housing but it turns out you have to go to a different office in a different location to get your keys which can only be retrieved every 2-3pm for 3-4 days a week. Not only that, when I arrived in guesthouse-Molkereistrasse, the room looked nothing like the ones you see in the pictures. The room had stains all over it – there were blood stains on my sheets, stains on the floors, the walls, and my blanket that was provided strangely had a lot of wood chips in them. The room I availed was supposed to be shared by one other person, it turns out you are sharing it with 3 other people. I also learned that other people are only sharing it with one other person, or two other person, or 4 other people for the same price of 500 euros a month which was strange and shows how ineffective the place is. Also, I didn’t know until the last month that I didn’t have classes at the end of January so I told them if it was all right if I won’t pay for the last month but they insisted that I had to pay. I heard from soooo many people, other students like me that they also faced the same situation and there was nothing they could do about it because they signed the contract but in our defense we had to do this because the housing office mentioned in their online platform that you must book very early because places are always taken. The whole home itself houses around 300 people but only 5 washing machines and dryers are available and at least one of them is always broken. The dryers also take 3 hours to dry your clothes and people usually open your dryer to see if there are any clothes in and the dryer just stops. Speaking of broken machines, repairs for these machines takes ages to happen because the office in the housing apartment is only open twice a week for 2 hours each time. Everyone also has to take their trash out on their own which was supposed to be fine unless the trash room was in an enclosed space void of sunlight and ventilation and the bins are always full so people just threw their trash in the floor and the whole place just smells horrible, extremely horrible. The place also has parties constantly by some of the exchange students and since there is little to none soundproofing, they will keep you up at night. I highly suggest that all of you who read this and considering exchanging in Vienna take the time and effort to look for other housing because I assure you there are other options that are so much better and so much cheaper than this housing company OeAD.

Good student dorm to stay during your exchange in Vienna. Many other exchange stay here and there's always something to do. Only downside is that the common room is closed most of the time. The university is only a 10 min walk and metro station 5 min. The supermarket is also around the corner. The rooms are equipped with all the basic stuff that you need. Service was pretty decent I have to say and they were always helpful when I had questions. The price is acceptable if you compare it to other big European cities. There are only some small fee's that you have to pay. Would definitely recommend this place if go on exchange in Vienna.

To anyone considering staying at Oead, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. I have stayed here from September to January, and my experience has been unpleasant. Upon first entering the apartment, it was very noticeable that it had not been cleaned properly after the previous guest. Along the walls there was a lot of dust, indicating that our apartment had not even been vacuumed properly before we moved in. Considering that I had to pay 110€ for a final cleaning fee, I am really wondering what happened to the previous guests cleaning fee. The apartment was also in poor condition, the floor was very worn and in some places water damaged. The walls were dirty, I didn’t have a single one which did not have dark stains. The walls and CEILING had shoeprints that Oead did nothing about. In many places the paint walls was falling off, which had been fixed either through just painting over it, or by very weirdly actually taping the paint that had fallen off back. If it was fixed at all. Behind the kitchen sink so much paint had fallen off that they just stopped fixing it. My apartment also included a sofa, which was disgusting. It was full of weird and large disgusting stains. It looked so bad that I decided to cover it up with blankets for the entire stay. We reported all of this of course, but it was not fixed. The kitchen was small, but I can’t really complain about that because that was what the contract said. However, something that was not clear was that there was no kitchen fan, meaning that you could not cook food properly because you had to be very cautious not to create any smoke. On top of that, if you set the fire alarm off you have to pay a fine. The fire alarm in the building probably went off twice a month during my stay there. The biggest problem though was that turning off the fire alarm did not seem like a priority. One time, we had to wait outside for almost three hours in the cold because no one was available to come turn the alarm off. As Oead is not open on weekends or after 16 on weekdays, you better hope that nothing breaks during this time as it was simply impossible to contact them. We had a power outage in our entire building at 18 on a Friday and there was no one to contact. We had to contact the electricity company ourselves to fix it. As a result of the outage a sensor outside our apartment started making an extremely loud and irritating noise that went on for hours with no way for us to fix it, and no way to contact Oead about it. We were lucky that it went away by itself, because otherwise we would have had been stuck with it until monday. Imagine if you live here and get a water leak in your apartment? Who will fix it if they are not available? We asked if they had an emergency number for situations like these, and their answer was no. In the rent you pay, certain things were supposed to be included as well. We were supposed to have cleaning once a week, access to the gym and access to the common room. All of these were stopped due to COVID, and Oead did not adjust the rent. They thought that giving a few cleaning products that 118 apartments were supposed to share was a reasonable replacement. Lastly, there were bugs. Specifically, pharaoh ants and cockroaches. We reported the ants, but nothing was done. The ants are invasive and difficult to get rid of, so you better hope that you do not bring them home. We had these in our entire apartment, living room, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and even in our bed. We also found cockroaches in our apartment several times. When we contacted them about this, they said they couldn’t do anything about them. They said they lived underneath the roof and would disappear by themselves when it got colder. September, October and November were fun. That’s about it. We asked the other people in the building if they were experiencing similar things, and many were. I hope my review helps you make an educated decision of whether your stay in Vienna is here.

The rooms look dirty even when they're clean and are very small. The kitchen is impossible to actually cook in, and it is always very noisy and loud. The stern rules and their attitude towards guests are very uninviting and create a hostile environment, as if they are mainly dealing with 15 years old children that tend to misbehave (which they might, but is uncomfortable to be treated this way as an adult). My window had the lovely view of a strip club. An edit per the reply- I have informed the offices about the state of the apartment the day after my arrival, and was told there are no empty rooms or apartments in all of Vienna for two months, as well as no waiting list I could sign to in case some place became available.
