As I had never lived in Vienna before, I found it quite difficult to secure a studio apartment from abroad and although EXPENSIVE, The Fizz met my needs at the time. I stayed for 6 months. The building itself is nice and the communal spaces are decent when tenants clean up after themselves. The Fizz loves to grab as much money from you as possible without restraint! There are fees for EVERYTHING. Even the laundry cost 3€ to wash and another 3€ to dry, and you must have .50 cent pieces to operate. Considering how much it costs to live here this price is OUTRAGEOUS! Also, if you decide to stay past the original lease they increase the cost of the already expensive rent, for no other reason than they can. Honestly for the price they want you to pay you can find better in the city, which I have done. The apartment itself was nice although so small for the amount you pay. In general I think a lot of corners were cut in construction because the building has been in use from 2017 and in my room there were cracks in the corners of the wall. They paint the walls in the room with a PRIMER! So if you get ANYTHING on it, it will soak right into the wall. You will have to repaint to get rid of it. If you scuff the wall you can wipe it off but anything other than that you are out of luck. It also scratches very easily. If they say the wall has to be repainted, for ONE side they charge 135€! Frequently from the bathroom drain there was a terrible smell coming out. I was on the 7th floor, in the summer it is incredibly hot as there is no airflow even with the window open and no air con. Inhumane how hot it gets in summer, 30 C and more at times. Students live here and unfortunately there are those times when they make A LOT of noise at night and into the wee hours of the morning. Be prepared to sleep with ear plugs from time to time. If there is a disturbance the house managers don’t really do anything about it whatsoever. During the height of corona many students including myself left for a few months. They also didn’t give any relief whatsoever, even though many couldn’t manage the rent. Meanwhile other places on Vienna have tenants a bit of a break concerning rent. Another thing to mention is that the fire alarms in the rooms are very sensitive. If you cook something and perhaps burn it a little, it can cause the fire alarm to go off and in that case you are held responsible for the fee (something like 600€ I think) when the fire response comes. I always cooked with the exhaust on high and the window wide open. I never had a incident but it was a source of great anxiety. To use the gym you have to leave a deposit of 20€ for the wristband which you return at the end of your lease. They send the money back via transfer and it takes WEEKS! I had issues with them and waited over 2 months. If for some reason you need to move out before the end of your lease, it’s absolutely not possible unless you are able to find a sub-tenant to take over your lease. There is no penalty for breaking a lease early, only through a sub-tenant can you leave. Otherwise you will just have to keep paying every month until your lease is up. So be aware of that. A good thing is I got my deposit back within a week of leaving, thank God! In the end, I think if you can find another place you should.

I am living in The Fizz for 15 months now and I want to start with the positive things. The move in was easy and the furniture and the interior of the rooms are good and quite new. You also have an easy access to the community and you can meet new and interesting people. To state the negative aspects isn't that difficult because there are many. The rent is quite high (€ 592 for 17 m²) and the service could be improved. To state one example: during corona crisis they shut down all the services and didn't offer any replacement or rent reduction. A lot of people complained about it and asked for rent reduction. Plenty of us lost their jobs and the management didn't even answer to our requests. They just ignored every comment about this difficult situation. Despite of that you should be well aware that this dorm isn't just a dorm, it's a dorm that never sleeps. Silent hours are not existent and people are partying all night. If you want to study seriously or you have to go to work in the morning, you better choose another place.

I enjoyed the atmosphere, especially the organised events. I consider it to be one of the best dorms for a student. The rooms, in my opinion, are exactly what a student needs. Had a fun experience living here for 2 years, would recommend!

Phenomenal staff and good services. Loved my time here and it was great for having friends over in their lobby and the rooftop for drinks! Community events on point even during Corona. Very happy!

I like the place, I think it's suitable for students considering the events that are organized there, the karting I've participated in and the brunch was awesome, had the chance to meet new people at these two. As for the rooms and the staff there, it's always a pleasure to interact with them, and they are always ready to help you if you need.I completely recommend it.

Still haven't received my 1800 euro deposit back, I moved out 5 months ago and was supposed to receive the deposit back 3 months ago. Have sent many emails and the Fizz hasn't responded at all, I'm now proceeding with legal action to receive my deposit back. DO NOT LIVE HERE

If possible they will charge you money for the oxygen you breathed during your stay. I mean it. Also too noisy. I am a very light sleeper and my room was on ground floor facing the s-bahn. I started using earplugs to get a good night's sleep. So in short, overpriced, money driven, noisy and noisy again. If it was possible I would give it a 0 star

I loved this place. Thanks to Marina - she has been such a warm and gentle person and helped to navigate my way. Vienna is very beautiful city and foreigners need to meet open-minded locals to make sense of the culture and history of Vienna. I would recommend people to come and stay here.
