Booked the adult 3 day (red) course online, and some private lessons for my wife at the Bad Hofgastein office. Both good value for money due to excellent tuition tailored to individual ability. As the only English member of an all German lessons group (I don't speak a word) the tuition didn't suffer, and I will be booking again next year. Thanks Steve.

I took two private lessons with the instructors Victor and Isaac and my skiing skills and confidence improved a lot! Thank you very much as I enjoyed my winter vacation a lot! I highly recommend taking skiing lessons!

Like a previous reviewer I would not recommend this ski school for young children in the peak season. It was somewhat disorganised on the first day with lots of milling around between 9 - 11am. When the lessons started I was concerned about the ratios of children to instructors - about 1 instructor to 10 children, some as young as 5. The scope for a child to become lost at the back when entering the very busy Angertal station area seemed enormous. My daughter decided to stop after an hour, about an hour and a half later on I saw children aged around 5 or 6 lying on the slopes crying, probably exhausted. I don't know how an instructor can be expected to deal with so many young children on their own on the slopes. The situation isn't helped by the fact that the Angertal ski area isn't really suitable for young skiers looking to do nice wide easy blues to gain confidence. It is either really easy nursery slopes, or one quite narrow blue with a steep (near red) section. All the other slopes are red. I thought it was a bad area to start when there are lots of easier blue runs above Bad Hofgastein that were quieter & wider. The other issue you have with 10 children in a class regarding safeguarding is that not all children & instructor will fit in one bubble lift. Scope for children not getting out at intermediate stips & heading all the way to the top seems quite real. This school is probably great if class sizes are under 6 or for older, experienced children, or if you simply don't care about your children not having a good time / potentially crying a lot during the week.

The ski school was massively disorganised. Ten classes all met at the same place, every morning was a nightmare trying to find the kids instructors. It was not unusual for one of the instructors to be late. Lessons would end up to 30 minutes late leaving no time to ski at the end of the day with the kids due to the light at the time of year. The last day and the medal ceromony was very disorganised. The classes had up to 13 children in one class. With so many kids it would be very easy to lose one. And with so many kids in a class it's hard to see how they can properly instruct them and help them improve. I would not recommend at all.

Thank you! My son had private lessons with "FANTASTIC" Robin (that's how he call him and he doesn't give good reviews just if actually was impressed). Also he had lessons with kids group and Sanne was an amazing instructor! My son said after his first day skiing that she is very kind, helpful later she became his friend and on the last day she made up a song for him. They had fun but for sure he improved his sking a lot! Our experience with the school was a very good one! Is true an instructor can have up to 11 kids but seems that they are well prepared and they do an excellent job! They watch the kids skiing and kids are moved to the right group depending on their ski skills. The guy from the office in Angertal , sorry haven't cached his name was also very kind and helpful . Thank you so much to all of you!

Great instructors! It was my first time skiing and they were very patient going through all the basics and on the second half of day two we went up the slopes. They were with us every step of the way and especially helped getting over the anxiety. Would definitely recommend them.

Many thanks to Carina for sorting out the 3-morning course with Hansi - first time back in the area in 4 years! Hansi as always was extremely patient and stretched my comfort zone to give me the confidence to have a great week's skiing. Many, many thanks!
