Als alleingehender Schneeschuh-Wanderer habe ich beim Schafflinger Andreas ein LVS-Training gemacht um zu erfahren worauf ich mich einlasse wenn ich alpin unterwegs bin.
Angefangen mit Schneekunde über Umgang mit der LVS-Ausrüstung, Einschätzung von Hängen bis hin zur praktizierten Ortung alles dabei.
Viele Tipps und Empfehlungen. Hat sich viel Zeit für mich genommen. Sehr professioneller Eindruck und super freundlich. Da weiß Einer wovon er redet.
Wer sich mit dem Thema ernsthaft beschäftigen will ist hier bestens aufgehoben.

As a single snowshoe hiker, I did an LVS training at Schafflinger Andreas to find out what I get involved with when I'm on the go.
Starting with a knowledge of snow, handling of the avalanche transceiver equipment, assessment of slopes and practiced localization - everything included.
Many tips and recommendations. Took a lot of time for me. Very professional impression and super friendly. Someone knows what he's talking about.
Anyone who wants to seriously deal with the topic is in good hands here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I hired Skischule Gastein/Andreas Schafflinger for one day to guide me and my friend to the best easily accessed (lift, short hike/skinning) powder skiing in the area. Andreas did a superb job and we had an awesome day!
Andreas knows the area inside out. He was quickly able to assess the right type of terrain for us, maintain optimal pace for the best skiing experience and most importantly continuously found untouched powder for the full day. His guidance on technique helped us to improve our lines through the day. Andreas speaks good English. As a plus, my friend was able to rent a fully equipped airbag and tracker directly from him.
We warmly recommend hiring Andreas for guided offpiste, sidecountry and backcountry tours in the whole Gastein area. With a great guide, there is so much more to experience during a short trip to Gastein area.
