OeAD student housing VIENNA - Ebendorferstraße 7

Hallo, I used Oead dorm from March until June, 2018. I never really wrote a review in Google, but I really felt that I have to write a review here for other people who have a possibility to come here. To be honest, My experience in this Molkereistrasse and Oead company was quite horrible and angry. First of all, I do not know the other dorm's room condition but here, is amazingly bad condition with really high price than the average room price in Wien. My room was second floor and my room was full of little silver fish, which is an insect. Every time when I take something from my floor I found out that there are some small silver fishes are there. It is really horrible everytime and I cannot really feel safe and comfortable at my home. And also, the Kitchen's condition is just terrible. You will never see this kind of kitchen in any dorms. It is very small, without the window, oven, dishwasher, and formal kitchen stuff. You cannot cook rightly when you want to cook. It is just a kitchen that they called "Kitchen" . I fully understand that every Erasmus person wants to stay in the dorm to see many friends and becoming friends with everyone, but except those parts, I think I really cannot recommend this house. I moved out from there and with less amount of monthly payment, I am living so much better environment. Please thin twice to choose this dorm and this company. They even take the 57Euro from your deposit as a final cleaning fee (I think It is really non-sense) and they also took 28 Euro for the stained pan. I think it is absolutely ridiculous. And also be careful with the contract too. I do Not recommend to have long contract with them when you are not very sure to live in Vienna longer after you finish your semester. When you decide to finish your contract earlier, they will take your half of money and even if you want to stay one day longer than your original contract, they will request you 66Euro! For just one day! It is just incredible that they never change their absolute ridiculous rules and they blame the rules! And when you check out, you have to be really careful because for me, they even checked two items as missing items, which was for sure it was there, and they could also see that in the picture too! and they charged me 20Euro for that too although I do not have to pay because they also could see that the items were there!, so you really have to be careful when you do the check out. Also they even give you the deposit as a Check! not a cash! This is unbelievable, they just do not want to work. And I also cannot believe that when you want to have it as bank transfer- it took Maximum 6 WEEKs! I mean, I can understand there are lots of students that they have to deal with, but they also took lots of money from lots of students. They have to deal with this professionally. I understand that they are doing business, but they are REALLY doing business with the student, who is not coming from Austria. I really think that they are using this weakness. I will recommend you to find a flat in Wien or maybe Airbnb with people that coming from your same university or something like that. I wrote very long review, which I never done it. But I just really wanted to tell everyone who will choose this dorm. Think Twice before choose this dorm

Just to summarize: 90€ of "booking fee", which does nothing. 70€ of "final cleaning fee" even if you return the room perfectly cleaned. 30€ of "damage flat charge", mandatory by contract. My room was 395€ per month (Pfeilgasse 3A). Same room with Akademikerhilfe is 330€. I was wrong with my date of departure and the contract ended in July. When I wanted to cancel with one month anticipation, it was two months at least, by contract. They did not give me even the chance of searching someone to let the room to. Of course, all of this is in the contract, is totally legal, but absolutely unfair with us. I didn't know there were more housing options, that's why I took this one. I strongly recommend to search for another one instad of this. It doesn't worth it at all.

I highly agree on other opinions. Their service was terrible and they won't give you deposit by using nonsense their rules. If you find dormitory, search for other dormitory services. They ruined my last day in Vienna, and spoiled my good memory, I won't recommend someone who expect good accomodation. Also, there was a bed bug in my dorm other girl's room, but they didn't do nothing.

I'm waiting for my deposit back for over a month , I've sent all the documents to the financial department and haven't heard anything back from them , then the main office tells me that they are beginning to operate on some kind of a new system and that's why it's taking so long. And that's been a month ago ! Just stupid excuses, this is completely out of order , this is not the way to treat people. How long does it take to check the room and wire the money ???? Oh and when YOU book they want the money in three days ! But when it's THEIR turn it's taking ages! I'm not even mentioning that the place is seriously overpriced, right now I'm living in a different dorm paying more than two times less and have even more facilities than they had at oead. They are charging an awful lot for cleaning but the cleaning was poor to put it gently. All in all , this is an absolute disaster, don't make my mistakes people and look for something else.

I want to warn all students who want to rent a room with this company. Do not do this. Residents of student dormitories are not protected by the law to the same extent as ordinary tenants. According to Studentenheimgesetz, you have far fewer rights to terminate a rent agreement of dormitory room than of a regular apartment. You can do this only a month before the end of the semester, and if you are even a few days late, this company will not want to help you and will force you to pay for the next semester. In my case, they forced me to return the keys to the room and at the same time they demand to pay money for a room in which I can’t even enter. These are the most unfair conditions that I have encountered in my life. I do believe that my case applies to a sudden social emergency (eine plötzlich auftretende soziale Notlage) as specified by Studentenheimgesetz §12(4). And on this basis, I should have the right to terminate the contract, but the company refuses to listen to me. I also talked with students who were expelled from the university, but this company still refused to terminate the contract with them.

Terrible！They just steal your money and provide bad rooms！Don't use it！

Hi, I wanted to know if we don't get the visa or permit as we are from outside EU. Then will OeAD refund our booking amount.? Because it all depends on our student visa and residence permit.

My worst experience in my life. I would never make such a mistake again. They're just money diggers and offer the worst and dirtiest accommodations in the world. STAY AWAY FROM THEM! Why can't i give them less than a star?!
