Only two days ago our daughters just arrived at the residence and the experience has been negative. The photos shown on the web do not show reality, it is old, and quite damaged, and the cleanliness leaves much to be desired. When they went to ask for explanations, they treated them very badly, and it is not that the girls want a personal maid, but if they keep the apartment fairly decent, the grease and bugs stuck in the kitchen, I don't think it's normal, besides paying A plus cleaning. The first day they had to go out to buy sheets, towels and other household clothes because the state was deplorable ... I put a star, because it doesn't let me put 0. From here I ask, please, that the treatment be correct towards our daughters.

I stayed in a room at Zinzendorfgasse for about one year. My experience: •The internet connection was not working for the first two months (very often -> bad Internet speed •The heating system and warm water were sometimes not available. •When moving out, make sure that the Kitchen Box is in your locked room, otherwise you may be accused of losing things like spoons or plates. •Questionable idea of privacy. Staff members often unlock doors to private rooms without even knocking before. •The shared refrigerator is way to small. •Bad price-performance ratio After all these problems I highly recommend NOT to stay at Zinzendorfgasse.

I lived in a room in the Zinzendorfgasse student residence for a year. An excerpt from my experiences: • No internet in the first two months, otherwise the connection speed is far too slow • Heating and hot water did not always work. • When moving out, the kitchen box should be left in the locked room, otherwise you could be accused of having lost things. • Questionable notion of employee privacy. Doors are often unlocked by employees without knocking first. • The shared refrigerator is way too small. • Bad value for money In view of these facts, I cannot recommend the Zinzendorfgasse student dormitory.

Could be a little bit better but is livable and acceptable. The building has been renovated in the past few years. Utilities such as heating, water, plumbing, and electricity are very reliable, the only problem I had was our old stovetop causing short circuits in my flat, but the administration said it will be taken care of once all tenants move out for the summer. The kitchens have all appliances and utensils needed, all you need to bring is food. Each room has plenty of room and a small television but recently the city changed something regarding TV signals and the old TVs are currently being removed and replaced. There is no cool air conditioning for the summer, but the climate in Austria probably does not require it. Just open windows and air flows well. The basement has things such as a party room, laundry room (washing costs 2 EUR which must be paid using a specific card from the office, and drying is free), a new HDTV, and a ping pong table. Available from the office are WiFi routers for rent, and if properly taken care of and returned they will ultimately only cost you 25 EUR. However, the WiFi routers have been known to have occasional problems with connectivity. Only one time during my 5 month stay, the entire building's WiFi went out of service. If you can, use an ethernet cable of your own, every room has several ports in the wall free to use. The office's operating hours are relatively limited so make sure you take that into account when moving in and out, otherwise while living here it is rarely an issue since all you need to do is go downstairs. Mail delivery is generally reliable. Large items are given to the office and the resident will be emailed to come pick it up. Small things go into the mailbox. Of the many things I got in the mail, only twice was it placed in the wrong mailbox due to a new mailman. Nothing was ever lost or misdelivered. One time something got stuck in customs, but that is a different story. Occasionally you will receive a form in your mailbox stating that your item is in the post office for pickup, but it is never far away. Cleaning staff tend to be picky and have very specific expectations which new residents have found surprising and frustrating. Generally, the cleaning staff can come into your room as early as 08:00 so be prepared for that. Within a few weeks you will come to understand the condition they expect your flat to be in. In order to live here, you must pay a relatively large deposit because over time there are fees related to your stay that must be paid, and at the end of your stay you will get the deposit back either in cash or as a bank transfer, which may incur fees. There is an area in the rear of the building for bike storage. One time the residents of my flat had a dispute with the management over a broken kitchen appliance but it was a misunderstanding and ultimately resolved and nobody was penalized. Also, the location of this dorm is convenient because it is right across the street from one of the TU campuses, near grocery stores, banks, and other services, and generally quiet.

Stayed in a Moserhofgasse apartment for a month. Great room and amenities (including a laundry room in the basement). Building is new and well-maintained, and the location is easily accessible by trams and bus, with a supermarket and several restaurants very close on the same street. Building's also fairly secure, as only room keys can open its main door. Rooms were cleaned once a week, but on variable days since it was summer. Mail arrives reliably. Office has few opening hours, which was a hassle for moving in and out. Accommodation overall was a little expensive, especially with all the extra fees like booking, final cleaning, and any damages.
