Mega Drive Car Rental GmbH - Erdbergstraße 202

We booked a car in two months ago and was upgraded to a little bigger one. The car was quite new and the staff was patient and helpful. We travelled for about 10 days with the car across countries and returned it at the airport. There was no problem at all in the return check-up though there was one or two very little scratches we got from the road. I have no idea how they got such a low average score here, but for me, it would be very unfair if I scored lower than 4 stars based on my experience. Thank you, Megadrive!

After reading the bad reviews, we were rather scared of what to expect. After receiving the keys, we were extra careful to control the car before using it to make sure that they won't charge us for damages that were already there. The employee working at the airport in Vienna was extremely rude and started yelling at us when we asked about some damages that were not reported on the documents they gave us. Customer service should definitely be improved. We weren't charged anything after returning the car. Still, a lot of progress to be made, and would advise to book with more serious car rental companies.

I would advise not to use this company We hired a car and returned it with no issues but once we returned back to the uk We was sent an invoice for damage we had not caused. I asked the company to provide proof of the damage and a damage report and they just ignore your emails. Stick to the bigger companies like hertz Europecar ect... They may be slightly more expensive but you have the peace of mind that they are not going to steal your money and make false claims against you.

WORST CAR HIRE EVER! I STRONGLY RECOMMEND TO NOT USE THEM: - They tried to charge more than what was stated on my online booking (apparently extra airport charges). Only after I insisted did they change it to the original price. - The car was supposedly in perfect conditions. When checked, it had scratches on either side and when starting the engine, an alarm showed that there wasn't enough air in the tires. After I called them, they told me to drive to the car park. There the only thing they did was a reset, saying not to worry and that the alarm will disappear in a few kilometres, which it didn't! I had to stop at a gas station, pump up the tire (which had only 1.2 BAR!!). This was negligent! - When returning the car they tried to charge me 800 EUR for the scratches that had been there before already and which I showed to them. I had to send several emails before they all of a sudden "found the scratches in the system" . I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT USING THIS CAR HIRE!

Mega Drive car rental company - be careful!! They will greet you with chocolate that will be melt in your mouth and with a big fake smile, to make you feel well, you will not notice the impending deception at all. They will offer you an upgraded car, spacious than the one you chose in advance, and they will promise you they will charge only a small extra charge! When you will refuse, you will be surprised to find out that the car you ordered in advance is not valid at this moment, and hop! surprise! You received the upgraded car without adding one euro! Without adding a single euro. In fact, 50 euro. But do not worry, this will be discovered only in your returned to your country. They will continue and try to sell you insurance, even though their eyes, like your eyes, see that you have already taken care of it as well, in advance. They will continue and warn you that you should not need to refuel your car at any gas station, only at their company. since they promise the lowest price! "We are committed to the cheapest price." They will say. If you've followed and been able to read this far you've already realized that this is going to be another lie for their collection. You will finish your vacation, you will arrive back to your country And you'll find out that Mega Drive has unjustly penalized you !! At 100 Euros !! Why? Because they can. And you, like us have not checked before the long-awaited vacation and did not realized how cheaters and crooks they are, how many people they have managed to deceive so far (search for their reviews) But mostly, how big was your mistake when you did not check properly before booked with them. So do yourself a favor, stay away Mega Drive. No matter how delicious the chocolate will be, at the reception.

Avoid at all costs. This company is a total rip off. I rented a car I was told at the counter was 'brand new', so I didn't check it for any damage. I drove it for a week without any incident, and when I returned it the check-in person went immediately to a specific wheel to point out a scratch on the alloy. Then I was presented with a bill for over €500 euros. This is a complete scam! Do not use this company.

Absolutely horrendous. We should have taken the train, plane, walked... anything but this. We payed twice the amount we were prepared for and it frankly spoiled what would otherwise have been a very nice trip. It is impossible to reach their customer service. The recorded message that plays when you call the 24h hotline for emergencies informes you that i was calling "outside of office hours" - whenever i called. Do not believe the prices they are quoting you, those numbers have nothing to do with what you are going to pay. We asked twice what the cost for extending the rent for a day would be and the second time the price was twice the first. I still don't know how that is possible. I have never rented a car from a company this shady before. They will not clearly communicate prices to you - for good reason. It is an absolute scam.

I do not recommend using the services of this company, because, as has happened to many other customers, they will charge your account for non-existent injuries after returning the car, and you will not be able to prevent this in any way. Your car rental will therefore be many times more expensive than the agreed rental fee. I will be 100% excluded from using the same company's service in the future.
