Doppelzimmer sauber, gut ausgestattet, nicht so groß aber alles da, super Matratze - und wunderbar geschlafen. Very friendly welcome, good breakfast, big garden. Double clean, well equipped, not so big but everything was there, great mattress - and slept great.

Das reisst einem um 4 uhr morgens schonmal aus dem schlaf. Das frühstück ist SEHR minimalistisch. Der preis ist übertrieben. Woher kommen die 4 Sterne? There are 3 spiders hanging around in the bathroom. I don't care if dead or alive! The train runs day or night and always has to sound the horn. That wakes you up at 4 a.m. The breakfast is VERY minimalist. The price is excessive. Where do the 4 stars come from?

Der große Garten stand frei zum benutzen zur Verfügung und war idealer Rückzugspunkt nach einem anstrengendem Tag. Beim nächsten Termin in der Nähe von Timelkam wird der Sonnenhof meine erste Wahl sein. I spent 2 nights 3 weeks ago due to a meeting nearby in the hotel Sonnenhof. My single room was very spacious and clean. The large garden was free to use and was an ideal retreat after a hard day. At the next meeting near Timelkam the Sonnenhof will be my first choice.
S	Stephanie Kunkel on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ich war geschäftlich für 2 Nächte im Hotel Sonnenhof. Das Hotel ist sehr sauber und ordentlich. Die Zimmer sind modern eingerichtet. Ich war fast der einzige Gast, daher war es, bis auf das gelegentliche Hupen eines vorbeifahrenden Zuges (tagsüber zwischen 5:45 und ca 21:00 Uhr) sehr ruhig. Im meinem Zimmer (6) war leider der WLAN-Empfang sehr schlecht, aber ich hätte mit meinem Laptop und meinem Netzwerkkabel wahrscheinlich auch so Internet haben können. Der Koch, welcher auch für den Empfang verantwortlich war, war sehr freundlich uns hat mir an beiden Abenden ein sehr schmackhaftes Abendessen gekocht. Ich esse kein Gluten, weshalb ich mir glutenfreies Brot fürs Frühstück mitbrachte. Dieses durfte ich essen, aber der Koch hätte mir, wenn er das gewusst hätte, auch welches bestellt. Beim nächsten Mal würde ich vorher Bescheid sagen und mir welches bestellen lassen. Das Frühstücksbuffet war klein, aber ausreichend und bestand aus Brötchen, Belag, Müsli, Jogurt, Kaffee, Tee und ewas Obst. Nach Absprache wurde mir am zweiten Tag ein Rührei zubereitet. Es gibt eine kleine Bar sowie einen Getränkeautomaten. Schade, dass das Hotel keine Sauna hat. Bis zum nächsten Restaurant oder Supermarkt muss man ca. 1km in Richtung Timelkam Zentrum oder Vöcklabruck laufen. Dafür ist man innerhalb von 4 Minuten am kleinen Bahnhof Oberthal-Timelkam. Insgesamt vergebe ich wegen der Sauberkeit und guten Lage zum Bahnhof, aber der fehlenden Sauna und der Angelegenheit 3 Sterne. Für die gute Bewirtung des Kochs vergebe ich einen Extra-Stern. I stayed at the Hotel Sonnenhof for 2 nights on business. The hotel is very clean and tidy. The rooms are modern furnished. I was almost the only guest, so it was very quiet, except for the occasional horn of a passing train (during the day between 5:45 and about 9:00 p.m.). In my room (6), the WiFi reception was unfortunately very poor, but I probably could have had the internet with my laptop and my network cable. The cook, who was also responsible for the reception, was very friendly and cooked me a very tasty dinner on both evenings. I don't eat gluten, so I brought gluten-free bread for breakfast. I was allowed to eat this, but if the cook had known, he would have ordered some too. Next time I would let me know beforehand and have some ordered. The breakfast buffet was small, but sufficient and consisted of rolls, toppings, muesli, yogurt, coffee, tea and some fruit. On the second day I was asked to prepare a scrambled egg. There is a small bar and a drinks machine. It's a shame the hotel doesn't have a sauna. To the next restaurant or supermarket you have to walk about 1km in the direction of Timelkam center or Vöcklabruck. You can get to the small Oberthal-Timelkam train station within 4 minutes. Overall, I give it 3 stars because of the cleanliness and good location to the train station, but the lack of a sauna and the matter. For the good hospitality of the cook, I give an extra star.
D	Daniel Schmitt on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ich bin total enttäuscht. Bei der Ankunft habe ich nach etwas suchen meinen Schlüssel im Briefkasten gefunden. Am nächsten morgen wollte ich frühstücken. Laut Zettel im Zimmer ab 7 Uhr möglich. An der Tür stand 8 Uhr. Na gut bis 10 nach 8 gewartet keiner da. Nach dem arbeiten wieder ins Hotel zurück immer noch keiner da. Telefonnummer angerufen wegen bezahlen und auschecken. Vereinbart das nach 12-20 Minuten jemand kommen würde kam dann nach über einer Stunde jemand. Musste auch noch angeben was auf der Rechnung zu stehen hat. Keine Entschuldigung und vollen Preis gezahlt. Absolut nicht zu empfehlen! Schade für Österreich da ich um einiges besseres von diesem schönen Land gewöhnt bin. I am very disappointed. On arrival I looked for something and found my key in the mailbox. The next morning I wanted to have breakfast. According to the note in the room possible from 7 a.m. The door said 8 o'clock. Well, no one waited until 10 after 8. After work back to the hotel, still nobody there. Called phone number to pay and check out. Agreed that after 12-20 minutes someone would come then after over an hour someone would come. I also had to state what was on the bill. No apology and full price paid. Absolutely not to be recommended! It's a shame for Austria because I'm used to a lot better from this beautiful country.
K	Konstantin Kneer on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ich bin/war beruflich in der Gegend. Im Sommer war es sehr schön dort, weil man schnell im grünen ist. Die Berge sind mit dem Auto auch super zu erreichen. Die Zimmer sind gepflegt, doch die Einzelzimmer haben schon ein echt kleines Bett. Leider gibt es offiziell kein Restaurant in dem Hotel (so wie es klingt, ist das in Arbeit). Aber dennoch macht der Service (Attila aus Ungarn) einiges dem Hotel wieder wett. Er geht auf Einzelwünsche ein und hat sogar zu meinem Geburtstag mir was gekocht. Macht das Frühstück auf Wunsch auch viel früher als normal. Ich komme wirklich gerne wieder. I am / was a professional in the area. In the summer it was very nice there, because you are fast in the green. The mountains are also very easy to reach by car. The rooms are well-kept, but the single rooms have a really small bed. Unfortunately, there is no official restaurant in the hotel (as it sounds, this is in progress). But the service (Attila from Hungary) makes up for the hotel. He responds to individual wishes and even cooked something for my birthday. Makes breakfast on request much earlier than normal. I really want to come back.
