Hotel Garni Obermair

I was in this hotel in June of this year. I loved the Annex, a beautiful view from the balcony. Staff were so friendly, breakfast excellent, room was cleaned every day and I intend on going back next summer for two weeks instead of one.

Wonderful hotel! The rooms were clean, the staff were amazing, the pool and sauna were fantastic, and breakfast was really good! I hurt my ankle while skiing, and reception had crutches I could borrow, which made life a lot easier! Would highly recommend! The only thing that I really didn't like was the toilet in our room - I have learnt that it is common in Austria and Germany for there to be 'shelf' toilets, as I think they are known. Feel free to research the pros and cons of these toilets, but ours was particular bad. The toilet seat was angled with the outside edge upwards sloping down to the inside edge - this meant everytime you sat down, the higher outside edge of the seat would press into your thighs uncomfortably. Not so great when your thighs already ache from skiing. Also, there was quite a gap between the bowl of the toilet and the seat, meaning as the water rushed from the back of the toilet to the front when you flushed, sometimes it would splash out the front of the toilet through the gap, hitting you if you didn't stand far enough away (something I cottoned on to nearer the end of the holiday). While splashing out the front of the toilet, water (and I'm sure you can guess what else) would run down the front of the bowl, collecting on the floor, meaning the toilet constantly smelt bad. Add to the fact there was no window in the bathroom, this meant it was really unpleasant to use the bathroom in general. This is my only small gripe, although it did make the end of the holiday a little easier as I was glad to get away from the toilet!

My friend booked at Bergsteiger Obermair in Mayrhofen we specified double room and we got a single room of 8 square meters with a no window and just an opening in the ceiling. the photos we saw on the website prior the booking are totally misleading. we found the room also very dirty, plus we have the toilet leaking that made our sleeping impossible.The hotel is located right next to a gas station and I can smell the odour of gasoline right in the room. For sure this is the worst experience ever had We tried to talk about the problem at the reception they just ignored us say well there’s nothing we can do about it. We have booked another nigh but need to leave now. I have called yesterday the agoda customer service but still no answer. This is not what we booked! And agoda has the responsibility to cancel immediately our night and help us to fond another stay. It's unbelievable this place, how can a room like this even be sold?

The room was very spacious and clean. The bathroom was huge (water pressure was not great). Location was great and the breakfast was delicious. Would definitely stay here again! We loved it.

Excellent hotel. Great facilities. Fantastic views from the hotel window.

Cannot rate this hotel highly enough after reading quite a few bad reviews.it excels in every way considering it is only rated 3 star.we stayed in main hotel so can't comment on rooms in annexe .would definitely recommend rest of hotel

Hotel owners couldn't have been more helpful. Amazing spread at breakfast, all the choice you could possibly want. Warm, clean rooms with good balconies, + loved the sauna/pool area. Would stay again, + never leave... ?
