Hotel Berghof Mayrhofen

We stayed here for Christmas 2017, there was 13 in the group, with a mix of ages. Very welcoming throughout, both breakfast and evening meal had buffet style options, the main meal was chosen from a minimum of 3 options, good fish options if you don't eat meat. The hotel was inviting and immaculately cleaned daily. The receptionists were outstanding very helpful and welcoming. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

We came to Mayrhofen for one week of skiing. We stayed at a different hotel, but had dinner at the Berghof hotel as part of half board package. We were always seated at the same table in the restaurant. We had a set menu of different soup every night, a choice of an entree and dessert. The soups were all different for seven nights. They were all cream soups and very good. The main entrees were tasty, but the vegetarian choice was mostly a square piece of tofu. The dessert was an ice cream for seven days and we had to ask for a different choice every day. We asked for bread at the beginning, and we had the bread added to the table every night, even when we did not ask for it. They did charge us extra for bread, so they should have not assumed we always wanted it. We were invited to try their buffet one night, when they had tyrolian special. The buffet was excellent with lots of variety. We had to pay extra for the buffet, €10 per person. We were told the buffet was only available to us for this one night, and the waiter did not know why we can’t have it any other night. More attention from the waiters would have been nice.

Loved It! The positioning of the hotel is excellent, right by the bus stops which take you straight to the slopes. The rooms are spacious & clean. Food is excellent, very good variety & choice. The staff were exceptionally warm & welcoming. Would stay here again.

Staff were all professional and friendly. Choice of evening menu or extensive buffet - we found all the meals to be excellent with great meat and fish, and some child friendly options too. There is a ski bus stop right next to the hotel so no walking required to get to the gondola in less than 10 minutes. Some other guests mentioned noise from the church bells, but the church is in the centre of the village so all hotels nearby would have this. Bring some earplugs if you are staying anywhere in the village... Facilities like a sauna etc but also caters well for families, with a big kids playroom.

I think this hotel should have been 5Star instead of 4. Service is great,rooms are beautiful and clean.staff from management all the way down are very nice .we are having the best Xmas with family at the best place . Strongly recommended ? ? ? ?

A hotel that has been renovated, we came to know that only in part. We got an unrenovated, old room, the room was very large, spacious and clean but outdated furniture though authentic. Large heated bath. Tiny balcony with old plastic chairs. The toilet is separated from the shower room. We came to know that there is a new wing in it, the rooms are renovated and modernized. The food - the breakfast buffet rich and delicious has everything from everything. Just have to cut the vegetables yourself. But there is a large selection. Dinner - buffet starters and main course by prior arrangement. The food was sometimes nice and sometimes reasonable. Sometimes lacking in seasoning. The desserts were delicious. The spa - a large pool that also goes outside. Warm water. On one side there are strong currents to the back. Outside there are gentle currents. The pool area is heated and cozy with lots of reclining beds and rest. There is a large family sauna and not too hot that can be entered with swimwear. Very lacking a hot tub. It is not clear to me how in such a special spa there is no Jacuzzi. There is also a small slide for children with a tiny pool. It is separated from the large pool. On the second floor there are 4 saunas with different degrees of heat and it is forbidden to enter there with swimwear. There is a rest area with beds. There is a corner where you can make tea. The location of the hotel, at the end of the main street. Ten minutes walk from the penken gondola. The hotel is close to Costner. Below the hotel there is a branch of DM and within minutes there is a supermarket BILLA. The service at the hotel is excellent

An excellent hotel with very nice rooms,designed with good taste.Friendly staff especially Bianca from reception. Food is very good and the ski bus stop is next to the hotel.The highlight is the spa area and the fitness room.A big heated outdoor swimming pool with water jets and jacuzzi.An elegant and spacious sauna area.I will come there again for sure

Pros: Food is excellent, as well as the wellness area. Comfortable and modern ski room. Big room with a new bathroom and beautiful view from the balcony. Comfortable beds. Gear rental shop and ski-bus stop are next to hotel. Cons: However, from the begining the room had a strong smell of cigarettes that was absorbed in the beds, and in the clothes later on. The reason may be that the balcony door isn't completely sealed when closed, so some cigarette smoke enters the room when one is smoking. Some rooms are located just above the road so you can hear the traffic quite loudly during the day. At night it is quite however.
