★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I reserved an economy car online and once I arrived I was told that I’ve been upgraded to a 7 passenger mini van. I told the guy I’m the only one driving and I prefer something smaller. He went outside to check the lot which was filled with at least 10 economy cars and came back saying they have no other economy vehicles left. I explained to him that I can take a smalller car, he replied, “you either take the van or nothing” I asked for his managers name and number. I never will use them again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ DON'T DROP OFF THE CAR OUTSIDE OPENING TIMES. I left the van on Sunday afternoon at 6pm (the agency closes at 4pm) in the publicly accessible parking in front of the agency as instructed. They sent me an email asking 760 Euros because of damages to the car. I had Super-cover assurance, so they asked me money for damage INSIDE the car. Here the photos they sent me. Ridiculous tentative of SCAM.

We left our car during the night in the publicly accessible parking in front of the agency as instructed, and the next morning we discovered that we will be charged 1400 euros because the car has been scratched during the night. They won't tell you, but they claim you are responsible of the car even in their own parking! SCAM

As in general with Hertz, while the offers are mostly not the very cheapest you can find, the value for money received clearly stands out.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The windscreen of our car rented in Hertz has been broken. Harold helped us a lot to contact the garage. Thanks for his patience and help, we have perfectly changed the windscreen and solved all other problems in less than 3 hours.
Plus, I was so rushed so that I forgot my bags in the bureau of Hertz, and Harold helped me kept it. I’m so grateful for that because all my documents are in the bag.

A very convenient location (tram no 71 stops directly at the entrance at the station Litfaßstraße) and - most importantly - an extremely friendly team! Kudos to Mr. Harald Wolf, who is not only competent but makes the customer feel welcome every time.
