★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Salt mine tour a must when staying in Hallstatt! You put on white protective clothing then walk up to the mine entrance and then a long tunnel into the mountain. The guide takes you to several chambers with good explanations and audio visual shows(oddly, one is just 15secs!). There are 2 wooden miner's slides between levels and then a small train ride out again. Worth every cent!
