★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Breathtaking, you can climb up or simply take the funiculaire. Worth visiting. With a great meal meal to commemorate a great day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Freakin beautiful up here to see Hallstatt.
You have to get a funicular to get up the mountain. It's related with the salt mines which can't miss if you follow the signs in town.
Anyway.. the funicular will cost you 18 euros up and down per person (without the salt mines). You can buy a one-way ticket for 10 euro then you have to walk up or down the mountain which will cost you around a hour.
We chose the up and down for 18 euro without the salt mines. It's a bit much money but its really worth it.
Just look at the pictures and you know I'm right.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing view. The to and fro ticket costs you 18 EUR. The salt mine is a bit far and you need to walk a lot for it. The salt mine ticket is not recommended if you arrive late. The downward descent train can get crowded in the afternoon and will take about 1 hour to come back .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Surprisingly, I thought there will be more people up here. But I guess it was because of the bad weather. It costs 18 eurous to go up by "train", funicular , but I recommend buying the ticket with salt mines entrance, even though I wasn't able to go there, which is my biggest regret. There is a little restaurant? there. I think you can also climb there by foot, but I don't know how long does it take. When going to visit the salt mines, the trail that takes you there is full of information about the history of the place so look for it.
