Very interesting for young and old. From the visitor parking lot, you walk about 10 minutes to the mine. Once there, you will be welcomed in a small wooden hut and equipped with a helmet and torch. Then you will be taken into the mine and the tour begins. Children up to 4 years of age can go for free, but children are generally only allowed from 3 years of age.

Danke nochmal
We were at 10 o'clock this morning with the first tour in the mine. The way up from the parking lot is steep and difficult for handicapped or elderly people, but worth it for everyone else. We were very friendly and open hearted by the volunteer (!) Staff received. The tour is fun and incredibly interesting. We had a very nice guide and thought it was really great! Thanks again

A guided tour of the gallery offers adults and children interesting insights into the work of the miners at the time. Equipment and tools are shown. In some places, scenes with figures are also re-enacted. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. You can also travel there by public bus from Schwarzach / St. Veit to Urpaß Brenner possible. From there you can walk to the mine in about half an hour.

Quite an interesting and historical place! Listed as a UNESCO heritage site! Just think, these tunnels are over 6000 years old !!! Very nice staff who try very hard to make everything comfortable for visitors, so that they understand the excursion, so that they do not hit a very low ceiling. For those who go to the mines, I advise you to wear not only warm clothes, as in the cave 6 degrees all year round, but also dark shoes, since the ground in the mines is dirty and wet even in hot dry weather outside. Visiting the mines is included in the list of objects of the map of the Salzburg Land and is free of charge. There is a small wish for the owners of the mines - please make a leaflet for Russian-speaking tourists with the text describing information on the mines, it will be more convenient and pleasant for all tourists. And thanks to the owner of the mines and the guide, we really liked it !!!

We have visited this copper mine and it was our first visit to mine ever! It is very narrow(not good for claustrophobic people),you need to be careful, but you will get a helmet, they are prepared for this. The tour can be provided in english as well, they will give you papers in english beforhand, they have them in Czech as well(we did understand that as well) Recommend it with Salzburgerland Card

We have been here in August last year. It's a very old and small 4000 year old mine (not for claustrophobic people). It was a great and adventurous experience. The man who guided us is very enthusiastic. You need to climb to the mine after you parked your car.
