J	JB G on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We wanted to experience one of the oldest cafes of Salzburg but the experience was disappointing. We ordered the Dobos Torte and Almond milk and the taste of both was nice. The interiors and ambiance also beautiful but the service was pathetic! The waitress was so rude and because of the pathetic service I will not recommend it to others

There’s a rack of newspapers and if you’re in early, you’ll enjoy the rare scene of a few older people quietly reading newspapers. After 10am, the place seems to be crowded and crawling with tourists. Food is decent, coffee is average, prices are high to reflect its tourist appeal.

Therefore, I can imagine the café is packed with tourists (what other reviews mentioned) but today it was quite a mixture of tourists and locals. The interior is pretty nice, but the service in the café was okay. So where the cake and coffee. Prices are quite high which speaks more for a touristic place.

M	Mike on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stands up to its reputation. We tried the hot chocolate and also had a piece of cake. The hot chocolate was great, the cake not so much. Regardless, service was excellent, ambience was good, well worth a visit. They don’t accept cards for amounts less than €20.
