★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Vienna boys choir and some members of Vienna philharmonic orchestra play mass music every Sunday at 9:15. You can get standing seat for free with first come first serve basis. You have to get there at 8:30.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went to Sunday mass to hear the Vienna Boys Choir here. It was beautiful, but be aware that the choir sings from a balcony up high, so nobody can actually see them no matter where you sit. If you get no-view seats, there are small TV screens where you can watch the service happening (shown in photos) - but it can get incredibly hot and stuffy and the seats are really crammed together. If you sit on the main floor, you’ll be able to see the service better but still you won’t be able to see the choir. It was special to what the choir in the beautiful acoustics of the church, but due to the uncomfortable seating and lack of view, we didn’t stay the whole time.

Preserved in Gothic finery, this chapel is nonetheless less elaborate than many of the buildings in the Hofburg complex. It can be entered free of charge, but is also a place of worship, and thus one should be careful not to interfere with ongoing services.

Tickets booked months in advance
Unfortunately the Vienna Boys Choir weren’t playing due to Covid
We were treated to world class musicians and adult singers. A truly unforgettable experience
