Beim Aufstieg auf den Kapuzinerberg haben wir die kleine Kapelle fast übersehen. Rund 125 Treppenstufen sind es von der Steingasse hinauf zur Kirche. Geweiht ist sie Johannes dem Täufer und Johannes dem Evangelisten. Der heutige Hochaltar wurde um 1775 errichtet. Seit 1970 wird die Kirche außen und innen erneuerte.

When we climbed the Kapuzinerberg we almost missed the small chapel. There are around 125 steps from Steingasse up to the church. It is dedicated to John the Baptist and John the Evangelist. Today's high altar was built around 1775. The church has been renovated outside and inside since 1970.

uralte Kirche neu renoviert und etwas mühsam zu erklimmen - 200 stufen und man hat sie erreicht - am besten man geht gleich weiter auf den Salzburger Hausberg - sehr schön und ruhig - ruhig und schöner Spazierweg am Berg - bis zum Schloß - schön auch das Kloster

ancient church newly renovated and a bit arduous to climb - 200 steps and you have reached it - the best thing to do is to go straight up to Salzburg's local mountain - very nice and quiet - quiet and nice walk on the mountain - to the castle - beautiful also the monastery
