★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Das Solsteinhaus liegt wunderschön auf einem Sattel ins hintere Karwendel. Essen gut, Personal freundlich. Einziger Minuspunkt: Es gibt oft keinen Schattenplatz, nur volle Sonne.
 The Solsteinhaus is beautifully situated on a saddle in the rear Karwendel. Food good, staff friendly. The only downside: there is often no shade, just full sun.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Eigentlich sehr feine Hütte in schönem Ambiente. etwas umständliche Organisation: Essensbestellungen muss man selber an der "Rezeption" abgeben - wenn da gerade Check-In stattfindet, darf man sich hinten anstellen und unter Umständen ganz schön warten.
Actually a very fine hut in a beautiful ambience. Somewhat inconvenient organization: you have to hand in food orders yourself at the "reception" - if there is check-in, you can queue up in the back and possibly wait quite a bit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mooie hut op een goede locatie. Wel een van de grotere en drukkere die we hebben bezocht (2e week oktober). Faciliteiten zijn goed, bediening is ok. Als pension gast dien je zelf je drankjes te halen, wat iets afdoet aan de gastvrijheid. Eten was prima. Douchen met muntje kost 3 euro.
Nice cabin in a good location. One of the larger and busier we have visited (2nd week of October). Facilities are good, service is ok. As a guest house you have to get your own drinks, which detracts somewhat from the hospitality. Food was fine. Showering with a coin costs 3 euros.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome hut to stay after a long day of hiking. Great service with very comfortable bunks. The food for both dinner and breakfast was superior. Add this place to your Eagles Walk trip!
