Der Verein muss sich fast gänzlich selber finanzieren, öffentliche Unterstützung ist leider so gut wie keine vorhanden.
There is an interesting story behind it.
The club has to finance itself almost entirely, public support is unfortunately as good as none available.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Der Hinweis auf das Schaubergwerk ist völlig nutzlos, wenn die Öffnungszeiten nicht bekannt sind. Schade, das eine derartige historische und neotechnische Einrichtung (sowohl geschichtlich als auch technisch) keine bessere touristische Vermarktung gemacht wird.
The reference to the mine is completely useless, if the opening hours are not known. Too bad that such a historical and neotechnical device (both historical and technical) is not made a better tourist marketing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Eine interessante Führung im Bergwerk. Auf jeden Fall einen Umweg wert.
Leider ist der Parkplatz unten nur von einer Seite angeschrieben, aber man kann den steilen Waldweg mit etwas Abenteuerlust auch mit dem Auto befahren.
An interesting tour in the mine. Definitely worth the detour.
Unfortunately, the parking lot below is only marked on one side, but if you are adventurous, you can drive the steep forest path by car.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great family outing! You will need to call at least 24 hours before to arrange a time for the guided tour - but then you also have the site to yourselves.
The tour lasts about 1 hour and takes you through the shafts equipped with helmets and flashlights. The guide also spoke English.
No problem for small kids (our youngest was not yet 3 years old), but there are parts which are slippery, so the 90-year old grandma didn't come along.
Bundle up as the temperature inside is 8deg and wear shoes and trousers that can get muddy.
You can drive up the road but the last bit is a bit rough. If you park lower down, you need to walk around 10min.
The site is in the middle of the forest with a beautiful panorama and if you walk 3 min further uphill you will see a nice Alm with cows as well.
