★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love it here -- have been ordering the Tafelspitz for "zu Hause" since the pandemic started and it's an amazing experience. Thank you, Plachutta Nussdorf!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A beautiful place, fun to eat in a welcoming place. The menu is a bit misleading, preparing soup with beef served together, a very simple dish that is presented as a culinary gourmet. Prices accordingly (high), what's more they charge separately a price for the noodles as well. A new concept I had not so often encountered in Europe, the waiter asked for a tip. It seems that the obscene habit of waiters whose owners do not pay them but a basic fee, are forced to become bouncy. Not recommended

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the first time I've eaten at this location.
I usually go to the location beside the Opera house.
Same great food. Limited menu but excellent.
3 of us had the tafelspitz speciality with the apple horseradish which is truly wonderful.
This consists of a copper pot with a light flavour filled beef broth with root vegetables and your choice of beef cut. Truly excellent. They deserve being famous for this!
1 of us had lamb chops and mash potato. What can I say? Probably the best lamb chops I've tried in 10 years! Perfectly cooked and presented.
1 if us had the zweibel rost braten. Good but not the best I've had.
There was some confusion with delivery of food and drinks which I must say is unusual. Service was not as good as I have experienced or expected. Pleasant staff but timings off. 3 dishes delivered without side dishes arrived 10 minutes later, lamb chops 15 mins later and lastly the zweibel rost braten 20 mins later. Never received the parsley potatoes but ate our rosti!
Interesting that they allow dogs into the restaurant and they are all very well behaved! Pity children are not as well trained!
However despite all that I'd still highly recommend trying them. The food was worth it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A classic, opt for this Plachutta over the one in Wollzeile, the Tafelspitz just never ever disappoints. A classic served to perfection!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My favourite restaurant in Vienna. We go there often and in fact celebrated our signing day there with family. Not a cheap restaurant rather it is a restaurant with Class!
Service is superb. Restaurant is clean and beautiful. Has indoor and outdoor. Even though it is not a big restaurant, it has quite some tables and don't make you feel crowded.
Their Tafel Spitz is of course the best. I always order beef tongue as it's my favourite and they prepare it excellent. Tafel spitz soup is very good too. We love the potato side dish that comes with it. It's even better with burnt crusts. In summer from Grill, I had Tiger Shrimps . They were quite tasty in white sauce. Beef tartar was marvelous. My man had a steak and it was great.
In winter my favourite Lobster soup is on the menu. I'd recommend you to try it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An iconic restaurant with great Austrian cuisine. Don't expect anything less than good Austrian cooking. Most of the food is meat based and quality wise they know what they're doing.
The wine is good, the waiters are as friendly as they'll get in Austria and overall I would recommend this to anyone that wants to have a nice Austrian dining experience.
Prices are alright - it's not a steal, but it's not uncalled for. If you're gonna get a starter, main and dessert you'll be paying 50-60€ per person eating there.
