★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Highly disappointed ! You are locked in a little court with no view at all, except other tables and the stairs to the toilets. It's an industry, not a restaurant. First of all, no beer which is more than surprising for an austrian restaurant. Apple juice with so much sugar even my daughter didn't finish it. Under average wines. Had a goulash, no meat in it. Do I have to change the definition of goulash in my dictionnary ? For the first time in Austria, we left no tip.

I always regret that I didn’t know this place when I was a music student in the 1980s. However, I have visited this gorgeous restaurant over a dozen times since 2002.
Drinking the spring young grape wine under the green grapevines while enjoying the various delicious local cuisine AND imagining how Beethoven might have sitting at the same table 200 years ago was one of the best enjoyments ever.
After the pandemic is over, I know I will revisit this place asap!

Almost all the manu was dishes with pumpkin. We do not like pumpkin so we have no alternatives. Prices were higher then other restaurants at Grinzing. Not recommended.
