Palais Hansen Kempinski Vienna - Schottenring 24

45 minutes ago on Google It's was a stay for Brunch.... WOW. Wish I had known this place existed before . Was here for a 40th celebration with a group including kids and babies. Everyone well catered for and taken care of... As an Austrian said, i'll be back! (D-14)

Amazing hotel, just perfect! Family stay, very nice spa, great rooms and very nice staff, very well located, close to metro station, very nice design, rooms are modern and very cozy.breakfast is very good and generous, don’t hesitate it is worth it!

The location is very good for a weekend trip to Vienna, and we had a lovely time spending Christmas in the city, but the stay at Palais Hansen was underwhelming. The first room we were provided came with a broken shower, the room that was suggested as to resolve the issue was a downgrade from our room, and the third room we were provided had a working shower, but a broken rain shower. Because there was no alternative and it could not be fixed we opted to stay in the last option. We unfortunately never received an apology for this inconvenience. With regards to cleanliness, the rooms were not properly clean when we arrived and also during our stay the cleaners did not clean properly, leaving us with cleaning parts of the room ourselves. The minibar is included in the room rates, but not restocked, so after the first night you are out of water bottles. Although the outside of the hotel is absolutely beautiful, the inside is dated and looks like the love child of Buckingham palace and the Las Vegas Bellagio. Especially the shopping mall feeling you get when resting in the lobby is disappointing. The service from the staff in the lobby was wonderful, hence the 2 star rating, but the people at the reception desk and some of the door men was appalling and sometimes downright rude.

Brunch It was excellent. Great food, friendly personnel. Pasta was made freshly in front of us. We definitely recommend it (D-43).

Sunday Champagne Brunch VERY tasty, attentive staff and elaborate buffet and a la carte options. Unlike some brunch places in Vienna, the buffet does include a good selection of warm „lunch“ dishes as well, all great quality. Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back! (H-17)

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!!! Champagne brunch was THE PLACE to spend a Sunday afternoon. Very fashionable crowd, the food was freshly made and plentiful to boot and the dessert were a dream! (And for those that this would matter to - the champagne was actual champagne.. Not swill.) As a NY Brunch expert, this brunch gets a 9/10. Do book a reservation as soon as you can - this isn't a walk-in establishment! (M-54)

We had Afternoon Tea at the end of December. The foyer was nevertheless pleasantly empty and not crowded. The tea service was outstanding. There were plenty of sandwiches and a range of different cakes and tarts and many wonderful little pastry delicacies. In addition, 5 different kinds of tea or hot drinks were served, which could be reordered at any time. It was simply wonderful.
