s	sue black on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I wanted to visit the daihachi for a long time and finally made it! it was wonderful. this tiny bar is a small japanese island in vienna. the lady in service is charming and the sushi master obviously knows what he is doing. I loved watching him work. fish quality is very good and the sushi rice delicious (call me over-particular, but in most sushi bars in Europe the sushi rice is unsatisfactory). I will definitely come again.

l	lee wood on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bit disappointed but was OK Quite expensive for what you get, and food couldn't be picked up without falling apart, so wasn't really made very well. The flavour was good though. A small meal for two and one beer each was about 100 Aus, so def not value. Wouldn't go back. Wouldn't really recommend, but you could do worse
S	Spud Zucchini on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not a particularly welcoming place - I guess if I could have uttered some Mandarin phrases it might have been better - and waiting times were long when we visited in spite of the small place not being overly full and having been the first customers in the restaurant. As regards the quality of the sushi, we are quite a way from Japan. The fish is varied for Austrian standards and reasonably fresh but the itamae-san would benefit from lessons on properly cutting and presenting the fish. The shari is Kansai-style and not bad. It is one of the few restaurants where I just did not feel it worth taking any photos.

A	Alexis Alexis on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kicked me out because I ordered just a Chinese tea. The waitress said, that I MUST (!?) order sushi to sit there. All the tables were literally free.

However the food is typical ‘oh you look Japanese so you cook’ type of sushi. I doubt the chef has been trained properly, he’s been doing it long enough for the sushi to look like it but the quality of fish, slicing skills, rice....not sure if you should spend this much to eat this quality ☹️
