Simply awesome setup! We were not able to run through the museum thoroughly due to closing time (whats up with early closing times here tho?) but, what we saw was just amazing! When you enter the museum you are walking through the earth’s history from creation and the period when earth was just a rock (showing minerals, sediments and other geological materials) through simple life forms to modern days human… Tickets were around 20 euros if I’m not mistaken and it takes approximately 2 hours to run through it all. When you are finished with a tour the outside park is just to wish for to get some rest with a beautiful views :) Highly recommended!

Nice large museum. Had a great exhibit of taxidermied animals including a variety of birds of paradise which is pretty unusual. The blown glass jellyfish, seaslugs and cephalopods were very interesting as well though somewhat inaccurate. Most of the large dinosaur fossils were casts but all the big boys were represented and they had a good number of smaller fossils as well as good ice age and mineralogical exhibits.

Unfortunately there are no access ramps. Also unfortunately the person from the access control took our tickets "throwing them to the garbage bin". The garderobe guy asked for a "donation" for "stuff coffee". The museum is wonderful, well structured and very technologically connected.

Great place. Huge museum with all kind of exibitions. Absolutely recommend for kids even thou they wont make it thru it all just pick two or three themes and visit those. Visiting this place you realize how wonderful big and various is our planet and life on it. Highly recommend

Be prepared for a lot of walking and standing! This museum is quite the time capsule, so parents be advised, as children may run past a lot of the exhibits. I could’ve spent hours in the geology exhibit which showcases many of the worlds gems, geodes, and precious metals. The animal portion of the museum was one for the ages, and had many, and I mean many animals (taxidermies) that I have never heard of which were finely showcased though a lot of the exhibit did not have English descriptions so be wary of that. As I said be prepared for a lot of walking and or standing due to there not being much seating available in the exhibits, and on a busy day that the cafe has limited tables.

Visited this museum in the morning and timing was great. There were just a few people so we could look peacefully at everything. Don’t know if there are permanent or temporary, but there were two interesting exhibitions one with dinosaurs and one with rocks, stones and minerals

An amazing museum! One of the best I've been to, regarding nature. The museum building was built just like a palace, it has two floors, divided into different exhibition halls. The first floor, near the entrance to the museum, has a display of gems, minerals, and meteorites (the largest collection in the world). Next to it is a display of fossils and dinosaur skeletons. Next is a display of the Ice Age, and then an exhibition of the evolution and human development, tools etc. At the far end of the floor is the new planetarium building - the observatory, where films related to the galaxy and astronomy are projected. On the second floor there is one of the largest exhibition of stuffed animals, birds, insects, terrestrial mammals and aquatic animals. All collected from around the world. Some of the stuffed animals there have become completely extinct. Highly recommended! * Please note that it is prohibited to take pictures inside the museum.

The museum is big, informative and nicely decorated. While there are a lot to see for tourists, most descriptions aren't in English, it has a lack of places to seat, so it is hard to view in one go and many photos will have reflections. In our visit at early hours the museum was very lively and bustling. Overall it was a good experience.
