★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Detto anche Monumento della Repubblica, questa bella raffigurazione in bronzo posizionata tra il palazzo del parlamento e il palazzo Epstein, raffigura tre famosi politici socialdemocratici e commemora la nascita della Repubblica Austriaca nel 1918. Sicuramente molto denso di significato per la cittadinanza, è sicuramente un bel monumento da visitare, ma che non lascia stupiti più di tanto.
Also called Monument of the Republic, this beautiful bronze representation positioned between the parliament building and the Epstein palace, depicts three famous social-democratic politicians and commemorates the birth of the Austrian Republic in 1918. Definitely very dense with meaning for citizenship, it is certainly a nice monument to visit, but that does not leave you amazed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Das Denkmal wurde am 12. November 1928, dem zehnten Geburtstag der Republik Österreich, eingeweiht. Die Republik war ein Kind von drei Parteien: (zuvorderst) Sozialdemokraten, (aber auch) Christlich-sozialen und Großdeutschen. Insofern ist es schade, dass ausschließlich (wenn auch höchst verdiente!) Sozialdemokraten abgebildet sind. Jedes Jahr am 12. November wird das Denkmal geschmückt.
The monument was inaugurated on November 12, 1928, the tenth birthday of the Republic of Austria. The republic was the result of three parties: (first and foremost) Social Democrats, (but also) Christian-Social and Greater Germans. In this respect it is a shame that only (albeit highly deserving!) Social Democrats are shown. Every year on November 12th the memorial is decorated.
