★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing place, awful service. I've been there just to have the worst experience of my trip. The waiter ignored me for minutes and when he decided to serve a customer, it was a women behind me in the line because she was paying her bill.
I couldn't believe and left the place with my partner.
There are many places in Bad Gastein with amazing service, great menu and fair prices. Kraftwerk is not among them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We loved Bad Gastein, but this place was possibly the best find we stumbled upon during our week stay. Took the outdoor stairs down into the valley from Hotel Solitude and came upon this oasis. It's right next to the waterfall, so the entrance is pretty dramatic. Inside is an eclectic mix of plush velvet lounge chairs and mechanical instruments that used to control the water pressure for the town. The waitress introduced us to Zweigelt wine ( great Austrian dry red wine). The menu wasn't fully operational at the time of our visit, but we did try their cake...which was delicious. My kids loved the cocoa! Bonus: Check out the beautiful statue behind the building.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You better not miss this place when in Gastein. Both the setting at the watterfall and the interior are simply great. Sometimes this is excuse for less than perfect service in such place, but not here. We had excellent pizza-like Flammkuchen and coffee and enjoyed both.
