Ideally located in the town, conveniently close to a main lift and ski pass office. At the end of a days' skiing/boarding a red slope can take you right by the shop. A bonus is that hired equipment can be stored there when not in use.
If travelling as a group be sure to contact ahead to arrange a group discount.
