N	Norris Cox on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The worse experience I had on a recent trip to Europe using three and four star hotels. My room was probably as in photo number 26. The bed was uncomfortable being a narrow single and the duvet was similar to a blanket with a duvet cover as shown in the photo. It was barely wider than the bed and heavy and as it overhung on only one side it kept falling off. I mentioned the bedding to the staff in the morning and the response was because they did not have air conditioning. The walls were thin and the night noisy due to a young sports team. I consider the room of hostel standard. My next night was also 4 star and it was incredibly superior.

Rooms were tidy and had your basic amenities. The only thing is that smoking is allowed at the bar, and the second hand smoking filters into the lobby. Breakfast is €14 per person. This could mean severe allergies if you are tobacco sensitive. I was never able to go into the bar and order a drink or a coffee. The hotel could use a facelift.

Close to the station, river, shopping and one of Carinthia’s best known beer halls across the road! Lovely welcoming and helpful staff on front desk The family suite we stayed in (2 adults and 2 children) was clean and comfortable. Air conditioning was a modest additional charge and worked well. Other reviewers comment on dated decor; it is true that it is older but very well maintained and probably keeps pricing fair and equitable. Great buffet breakfast in a lovely conservatory setting. Gelateria next door is very good and keenly priced

On arrival we were greeted by most kind and helpful receptionist who went an extra mile to ensure that we got the exact accommodation we desired. We got a family room that was large, spotless clean, comfortable and quiet, ensuring a good night sleep. The location is also perfect, right between the train station and old town center. We throughoutly reccommend this stay and will surely return to explore the region.
