Nice hotel with a good atmosphere and friendly service. Always a very nice welcoming and clean rooms. The building breathes a lot of history. Breakfast is good too, sometimes could be longer on weekends. Parking is a little bit hard as the space on street above is crowded and requires a bit of communication to get inside the restricted traffic area. Overall a very nice place that I am happy to return to.

This hotel was great! It’s located in older district of town! There are a lot of attractions right around it! The staff was friendly & helpful! Breakfast was good! The rooms are nice & clean! We had a great time!

The location of the hotel is great and that’s probably the only positive thing we could say about the place. Upon our arrival at the evening we were checked in by an extremely rude person-he was impossible to understand and was just throwing keys at the guests. Our room was outdated and in a pretty bad shape, nothing like the photos you see online. The smell was bad, the furniture in an antique style, but in fact in was just really smelly and in bad taste. A leather bed full with dust on the frame, with two small mattresses combined, yellowish and torn bedding and low quality blanket and pillows. The towels were of a quality and age that you might meet only in the cheapest youth hostels. Of course theres no air conditioning. We were pretty shocked. Didn’t book the breakfast, so can’t comment on that. May be we just had an extremely bad luck with the room. (When we politely asked to change it, the rude man in the reception offered us a single room. We were a couple ?) You can judge by the photos.

Great location and good breakfast but watch out what room you get. We booked a double room and got a room with a broken 140 cm bed (room 219). The floor is also creaking loud when walking. There is also no AC in the room. We got compensated by free parking (16 EUR) but would have preferred a good nights sleep. It is special with a house from 14th century but the beds needs to be wide enough and okay. The location is great and we heard there are rooms with good beds as well.

I booked with them through booking.com, and got the confirmation. 6 days later I receive an email saying that the price was wrong, and either I pay 100€ more, or they will cancel my reservation. I told them that this is not acceptable, and another solution should be found, so they went ahead, and cancelled my reservation. I send them another message about this, and got no response. I called booking.com, but they have one of the worst customer services ever, they response is we can't do anything (or deal with it) Anyways very disappointed.

I booked this hotel through VRBO. I could not get clarification as to how many beds were in my reserved unit after calling and emailing the owner. Twice I called, and twice the owner hung up on me. Odd, as I was calmly asking a question. Being in the hospitality industry, I’m pretty sympathetic and patient, and the owner’s behavior was inexplicable. I then tried to cancel, and again the owner would not respond to either my message or two from VRBO customer support. So thankful I booked through VRBO as I have recourse through them, because I have never had such a terrible experience.

Beautiful building, terribly maintained. Ceilings are peeling. Management was drunk at the front desk when I arrived. They also couldn't remember our reservation details. Towels were dirty and mouldy smelling. Glasses were dirty and smelled of old wine left from a precious guest. Rubbish bin was broken. Broken glass was left in the room. Walls were thin, able to hear people scraping their plates at the outside restaurant. The bath tub was fine, I guess. Stay anywhere else if you can.

Wonderful suite with a fantastic view of the fortress. Pleasant front desk staff, good breakfast and the cinema and spa attached!! It was located easily within walking distance of the major sights. If only the towels were a bit softer it would have been 100%. Loved our stay and will recommend to friends!
