★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a very restful place. A very large waterfall is just behind the hotel. You don't need to travel too far away. Also, the double room is very large. The toilet and the bath room are separated. It save us the time in the morning. I and my wife can wash face in different room.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice hotel, old and stylish. Room cleaning is at high standards.
The food at breakfast and dinner is very good.
I love the spa too. Have three dry sauna and one steam sauna. It's just how must to be. The pool, is good too but if the water will be a litltle bit warmer can be perfect. I didn't try the fitness room because after one day on ski slope I don't need more movement.
The hotel manager is very kind and problem solving type.
The staff is helpful if you have a problem.
The hotel have a biliard table and gaming room, bar, a very nice socializing room and more.
I recomand this hotel for everyone who go to Bad Gastein.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rooms are of older style and each one is unique. Cleaning crew for the daily upkeep was excellent. The crew was extremely friendly. There is a pool and saunas located at this hotel. The pool is really nice. The saunas are really clean and very well maintained. The restaurant staff was accommodating to a large group with few dietary restrictions. Additional daily charge for Austria not included in original pricing so just be aware of it. Overall excellent experience. Best waitress was Aleksandra. She was really good to us!!

Cons: the toilet itself is ancient, and need a modern renovation.
There should be a solution to dry your clothes or equipment even in the summer when the heating elements in the room aren't working - as it's raining in the summer as well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would say that it's a 2-3 star hotel and not a 4. The rooms were ok, but very weary, with broken shower hoses and rotten door panels. All easy fixes, but still just left it to decay.
The room colors and the furnitures gave the room an 90th look and the ceiling lamp buttons were placed in a really strange way.
The hallways were really cool with all these old furniture treasures. Lamps, desks and paintings. Really cool.
The restaurant could snap up a great bit on the quality. Maybe remove the buffet concept. The food was close to ok, but not more. Often overcooked and dry/saggy. The bread was dried, like 2-3 days old and they should've had included some basis beverages like water and so.
The staff was very kind and and helpful and they lifted up the whole restaurant. Without them it wouldn't be anything left.
For the price of the hotel i would say they need to restore and refresh the core starting with the basics and continue. It felt a little bit like a slowly sinking ship. It's sad cause I liked it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very cold room, the water from the pipes is brown. Heating should not be an issue in a 4 star hotel on a mountain. Ate at the restaurant, not impressed. Apparenty head chef should learn how to treat meat, beefsteak in question was not nicely prepared. There are much nicer hotels in the area. Avoid this one

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Elsabethpark hotel, located in the heart of the belle epoch, is a true gem if you are looking for a place to relax and rejuvenate your body. The hotel has a pool with hot thermal water (32C), overlooking the historical city center, which is the best place to relax after a day of skiing/snowboarding. Recommended for couples, families, or solo travelers.
And the staff is extremely helpful, always at your service, exceeding the expectations of the most demanding guest.
