★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It never happens that photos on hotel website show the true ambience if a place but Salzburger Hof is the exception. Specious rooms and very nice beds. Good drinks in the bar and not too expensive, less than 9 EUR. gym is well equipped and spa is very clean. Recommended!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ On their website on The Gastein Healing caves it says and I quote “ The absorption of radons into the body is increased and through this, the cells metabolism is stimulated”. Sure radons won’t give enough radioactivity to kill someone in weeks but why promote it in a way to make it seem like it will “heal” you. When they say metabolism is stimulated do they mean the cells are being damaged, because that’s what radons do they damage cells.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice hotel, close to everything and good, service minded personnel. The food and breakfast was mediocre. The room was nice and the bed comfortable but there was inefficiently soundproofing both from the door to the corridor and the windows to the exterior. The spa was accessible for the guests which was a plus. All in all an adequate stay. A bit on the expensive side for what you get though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful! Excellent! Great views. Great food. Easily walkable (with hills). There are other good hotels, but I think this one is best! This was a summer trip, but we have skied here. It's great. So many mountains and lifts! In summer, we took the train to Badgastien and Zel Am See.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A old classic but still very nice. The rooms, we had s family room for 5, was very spacey, nice and comfortable beds. Very friendly staff!!! Always happy and friendly. Breakfast really good. Dinners were ok, they failed a bit too many times on the main course sadly but otherwise good. Location terrific.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice hotel and staff that is taking very well care of its customers/ visitors. The rooms are nice and tidy. Neatly cleaned every day of course. The food is delicious and very cool concept with having different chefs every week if the season. Great drinks in the Ritz bar and a must try after the days skiing is the food in Jagtstube on the lower ground. Great being able to sit outside in the last sun for the day. Very close to the after ski action rom here as well. I truly like the performance and the entertainment at night too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved our stay in this fantastic hotel. Location and spa facilities excellent, room was perfect, dinner was 5 courses of Swedish influenced heaven. Salmon sashimi was awesome. Staff and guests all friendly and sociable. We feel totally spoilt and can never return to chalet skiing.
