★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a great place. We were visiting Vienna and discovered this gem. Wonderful schnitzel cooked exquisitely. Great menu, English also supplied. Economically priced, beer and wine at realistic prices. Everyone should know about this place! Great service with authentic atmosphere. Well done to all who help to operate this business.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bring cash!! I’ll start with that as it catches a few people out. However, BRING CASH, NO CARDS TAKEN!!
Aside from that, it’s probably the best Viennese experience you can have. The waiters and owners are warm and welcoming. The beer is Czech and delicious, the food is filling and cooked fresh. The courtyard is great in the summer as there is plenty of shade and it’s as peaceful as the customers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful restaurant! On a business trip from the USA, we stopped here for a nice Austrian dinner. English menus were provided, and our server also spoke great English. The restaurant had a very comfortable atmosphere and was clearly not a tourist trap. The food and beer were outstanding. This will definitely be on my list when I return to Vienna!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Against all odds the plate in front doesn't have a Wiener schnitzel on it, but "ausgelöste Hendlhaxen", i.e. chicken schnitzel. Who would have thought?! This and a beer is really all you need to be happy!
The important lesson learned here, but applicable elsewhere in Vienna and I guess in Austria generally, it's "cash only"!
