It's a quite big place but they manage to make you feel as you're the important one for them. Friendly and quick, with nice dishes that are sometimes a little atypical but really taste very good. Options for vegetarians. Also a nice outdoor area in the back if it's good weather. And a good place to go with a group!

The food was very good and the waiter was also very nice. Beef goulash was very tasty and even the small portion was more than enough. The schnitzel was fresh and crispy and the large portion that costs around 10 euros included 3 big pieces. There is a small salad bar that costs around 4 euros. They make their own beer which also tasted good.

Considering that you are out in Schlachthausgasse, this restaurant is not bad at all. Lots of space among tables and among chairs. We had reserved for 12 but were 15 and got another table in less than one minute. Service is nice and helpful (if a bit slow... but we were 15). The wiener schnitzel is very good. The other dishes looked good too. Potatoes and other side dishes looked and tasted good. Nothing to complain. 4 full stars.

I had stumbled across Amon's on the official city of Vienna website in the gastro section. As I was looking for a restaurant serving typical Viennese and Austrian dishes in a spacious and inviting ambience, I decided to give Amon's a try. We were a total of 9 people with 2 small kids requiring children stools. We ordered different dishes ranging from Wiener Schnitzel, deer ragout, and fish. You could choose from a salad bar any combination of ingredients although my favorite, the potato salad, was already finished at 13:30 (kitchen closes at 14h or 14:30). For dessert we tried their trio of homemade ice cream, rasperry-filled poppy seeds-coated ice cream dumplings in rasperry sauce and the chestnut souffle. The overall conclusion was DELICIOUS. Definitely worth it, especially their own gastronomical creations and seasonal menu.

A real good restaurant which you should visit. It is 5-7 minutes with U3 when you are in the city. The location has a real nice flair, is light flooded, you got a room for kids and an outdoor spot. Soup is delicious and fast served. Main meal took longer (restaurant was pretty full - 45min), but was worth the wait. Everyone was satisfied. Will come back for sure with my family.

Down to earth Gasthaus. They offer decent food with good quality but nothing exceptional. You can get your Schnitzel or Cordon Bleu for around 13 to 14€ but they don‘t come with any side dishes, which I just don‘t understand. You need to order them separately which will add another 4€ (for each, side and salad) to the bill...and that is just too much for the offered quality plus the location. The staff is super friendly and they have a good atmosphere there though.

Really nice and big restaurant with plenty of seating, super prompt and helpful staff, and tasty Austrian food! We had the goose (seasonal special) and Topfenstrudel, and it was delicious.
